I am pleased to announce that, starting this May, I am expanding my services to include psychotherapy.

Ever since I began my medical practice, I have felt a growing desire to adopt a holistic approach toward those I have the honor of caring for. Five years of training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, as well as my preparation for certification in the United Kingdom, have helped me acquire a range of therapeutic techniques that complement my knowledge of conventional medicine.
The journey I invite you on is one of understanding the signals your body sends, within their broader context. I am convinced that, from this perspective, a stomachache carries the same urgency as chronic insomnia or a panic attack.
Psychotherapy is also a way to deepen self-awareness and achieve inner balance, strengthening what may be fragile self-confidence and self-esteem. Together, we will try to identify your needs, which you will then find easier to express.
I offer therapeutic support in a discreet, supportive, and accepting environment where we can explore together your difficulties in relationships, emotions, or family history.
My approach is grounded in the principles of psychoanalysis—rather than offering ready-made solutions, I invite us to search together for connections between your past and your current experiences. Through understanding and acceptance, we create a space where your anxieties can be transformed into new vitality and self-confidence.
I am also happy to accept teenagers aged 16 and older into therapy.

I provide therapy in Czech and English.

TRANSITION TO GALEN UPDATE
Dear friends, dear patients, due to some delay in all the re/construction work being done at this clinic my transition is behind the original plan. I am sorry.
Till the end of March 2024 I am still at Ovenecka Tue-Fri. From April 1 I should finally start at Galen, see the link above, Thursdays and Fridays. I will remain working at Ovenecka still Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
More info to come.

S radostí vám představujeme paní MUDr. Evu Kandrnalovou, odbornici v oboru Všeobecného praktického lékařství. S více než 12 lety klinických zkušeností v České republice a Velké Británii, přináší bohaté zkušenosti a nadšení pro holistický přístup k pacientům.

👩‍⚕️ Kariéra a praxe:
MUDr. Kandrnalová zahájila svou praxi jako závodní lékařka ve dvou českých automobilkách a později pracovala na Poliklinice AGEL v Praze a v Kladně. Její práce zahrnovala jak péči o VIP klientelu, tak i o pacienty na malém městě, s důrazem na odvykání kouření a redukci hmotnosti.

🌐 Mezinárodní zkušenosti a vzdělání:
V roce 2018 byla vybrána do britského programu IGPR pro evropské praktické lékaře a pracovala v malé rodinné praxi ve východním Kentu. Následně složila atestační zkoušky v rámci Royal College of General Practitioners. Po návratu do ČR pracuje jako praktická lékařka a školitelka mladých lékařů na 3. LF UK.

🌟 Osobní život a zájmy:
Mimo pracovní dobu se MUDr. Kandrnalová věnuje studiu psychoanalytické psychoterapie a je aktivní v rodinném životě se svým manželem, dvěma dětmi a labradorkou Marley.

S MUDr. Evou Kandrnalovou budete mít nejen odbornici, ale i empatického průvodce na cestě k vašemu zdraví.

I would like to update you on my transition process.
Due to one of my other Ovenecka colleagues leaving for her maternity leave I decided to stay at Ovenecka until the end of January 2024 always Tue 12.30-18.00, Wed 8.00-14.00, Thur 9.00-14.30, Fri 8.00-13.00

In February 2024 I am supposed to start at a new GP practice but it will be the Flora area, not in Motol.
I suppose I still keep my Tuesdays at Ovenecka 12.30-18.00 from February on because of the personal situation there.
You are welcome to stay registered at Ovenecka where there are my colleagues taking over my patients. And you can see me there every Tuesday.

Should you find more convenient commuting to Flora, you can register with me there in February, where I am supposed to work Wed, Thur, Fri. Other days will be covered by my colleague in Flora.
Even if you register in Flora you can still see me at Ovenecka on Tuesdays.

This is to announce that I will be out of the practice from 20.11.2023 till 28.11.2023 for my training in psychotherapy. My colleagues will be covering my shifts.

IMPORTANT NEWS
I have resigned from my position at Ordinace Ovenecka. I will be available until the end of the year (22.12.2023). Your registration with the practice is not affected by this decision and you are more than welcome to stay here as a patient. My colleagues here at Ovenecka will be taking over my patients.

I have genuinely appreciated my job at Ovenecka and was my pleasure looking after my patients there.

My plans are to have a bit time off in December and beginning of January and then start my new GP role at a different GP clinic, very likely in Prague 5, Motol area, from January 2024.

If you have any questions about the transition process, please feel free to get in touch.
