Over the past 9 years, I’ve had the privilege of working with Šimon, a truly inspiring young boy with cerebral palsy. Children with his diagnosis show a level of dedication and consistency to their recovery that is unlike anything I’ve ever seen—and Šimon is no exception, he's been just the best :D
I’m incredibly proud of how far he’s come and grateful to have been a part of his journey. Thank you, Šimon, and thank you to your wonderful family for your trust ❤️

📅 How Often Should You Have Physiotherapy Sessions? 🏃♀️
Determining how often you should go for physio can vary based on several things, including the severity and type of your condition, your personal response to treatment, and your overall health and fitness level.
Here's a general guideline to help you understand how often you might need to attend physiotherapy:
Initial Phase - 2-3x a week
During the first stages of treatment, especially for acute injuries or post-surgical rehabilitation, attending physiotherapy sessions 2-3 times per week is common. This frequency helps manage pain, reduce inflammation, and kickstart healing.
Intermediate Phase - 1x a week
As your condition improves, the frequency decreases to about once a week. This stage focuses on building strength, improving mobility, and ensuring that the progress made during the initial phase is sustained. At this point, you might also be given more exercises to perform at home that you should follow.
Maintenance Phase - Every 2-4 weeks
For chronic conditions or long-term cooperation, the frequency of sessions is reduced to once every two weeks, or even once a month. These sessions are aimed at maintaining the improvements, preventing relapses, and addressing any ongoing issues.
Maintenance and Prevention
Some people, especially athletes or those with recurring issues, may benefit from ongoing physiotherapy for maintenance and injury prevention. These sessions could be as infrequent as once a month or scheduled as needed based on your activity level.
Personalized Approach
It's important to remember that physiotherapy isn't a one-size-fits-all solution. Your physiotherapist will tailor the frequency and type of treatment to your specific needs and goals. Consistent communication about your progress and any changes in your condition is crucial for optimizing your sessions.
Home Exercises
Adhering to the prescribed home exercise program is crucial for the success of your physiotherapy journey. These exercises help reinforce the work done during your sessions.
I hope this info helped you in understanding more about how often you may need to visit your physiotherapist :) If you have any questions or need personalized advice, feel free to reach out! :)

🧠 Did you know that your mental health can significantly impact your physical well-being? 🤔
Many of my clients visit me once they are overwhelmed by stressful life changes or situations because they simultaneously begin to experience pain that re-appears from past physical issues, or a worsening of current ones.
When we experience stress, anxiety, or other mental health challenges, our body’s natural response is to tighten muscles, especially those around our neck, which can cause chronic tension and pain over time. It also pre-sensitizes your nervous system making it more vulnerable to feeling and experiencing pain. This can affect various parts of our body, leading to issues like:
🔹 Back and Neck Pain
🔹 Headaches and Migraines
🔹 Digestive Problems
🔹 Increased Fatigue
By addressing our stress and our mental health/hygiene, we can alleviate some of these physical symptoms, and gain a bunch of additional benefits too:
✨ Managing stress and anxiety can help your muscles relax.
✨ Better mental health often leads to better sleep, which is CRUCIAL for physical recovery.
✨ Understanding the mind-body connection can help in managing chronic pain.
✨ Lower stress levels can strengthen your immune response.
To support you in taking the first step towards better mental health, I’m excited to share my discount code "B16120A0" to get 10 EUR off 1x session you book on Hedepy.cz, where many close friends of mine and myself, have found incredible therapists with great quality of care and quick availability.
(Hedepy is a platform providing online mental health counseling🌐)
And remember: A healthier mind leads to a healthier body and we cannot separate the two🌟 So please don't dismiss your stress and challenges, and take a holistic approach to your body and mind.

I recently had the pleasure of collaborating with the amazing team of Participation Factory in Prague, where I conducted an on-site physiotherapy workshop and individual sessions for their employees. 🏢✨

🌟 Understanding Developmental Delays in Babies: When to Seek Physiotherapy 🌟
As parents and caregivers, it’s natural to be concerned about your baby’s development. Identifying developmental delays early can make a significant difference and I just wanted to share a few pointers on what to look for and when to seek physiotherapy for babies up to 12 months old.
👶 Signs of Developmental Delays in Babies (0-12 months):
No head control by 4 months or head position stuck to one side
Inability to roll over by 6 months or showing preference to only one side
Not sitting without support by 8 months or not getting to the position alone
Not crawling or showing signs of mobility by 12 months
Lack of response to sounds or visual stimuli
Limited use of hands and fingers (e.g., not reaching for objects)
🔍 When to Seek Physiotherapy:
If you notice any of the signs mentioned above, it’s important to consult a healthcare professional. Early intervention is key and the sooner a delay is identified, the more effective the treatment can be.
👩⚕️ How Physiotherapy Helps:
Personalized exercises to address specific delays
Parental guidance and education for at-home activities
Supportive environment for your baby to thrive in and reach their full potential!!! :))
If you have any concerns or questions about your baby's development, don't hesitate to reach out!

What an amazing experience in Bangkok, Thailand! 🥰
I was invited to provide workshops on my physiotherapy take in sports and fitness! Using a combination of various models from developmental kinesiology, biomechanics, and my experience, I led four days of workshops for an amazing group of personal trainers. 💪
Together we tackled 👇
1) breathing stereotypes & how to activate the diaphragm during different activities
2) faulty movement patterns; how to recognize them and how to improve them during exercise
3) common fitness exercises and their modifications to suit all types of clients' needs, and bonus side skills in soft tissue release techniques!
✨Thank you for an amazing opportunity and, for having me in your gym , I had an amazing time! 🙏😁

Through years of experience, I've realized that without effective communication, a successful therapy journey is almost impossible.
It's not just about the exercises and treatments; it's about understanding your unique needs, concerns, and goals.
🤝 Why Communication Matters:
- Personalized Care: By sharing your pain points, lifestyle, and expectations, I'm then able to tailor a treatment plan that truly fits you. So the more I know, the better!
- Building Trust: Open dialogue helps build a strong and trusting relationship. If you're not comfortable, then you'll not be confident during therapy, nor will you trust what I recommend.
- Feedback Loop: Give your input! Your feedback is invaluable. It helps me adjust techniques and strategies to ensure you're progressing and feeling better.
- Motivation and Support: Keeping the lines of communication open means I can provide the encouragement and support you need to stay committed to your recovery.
🚫 The Impact of Poor Communication from the Therapist:
To the therapists out there, please be aware of how you communicate with your clients and prioritize their safety and comfort.
- Misleading Language: Using terms that sound "abnormal" or overly alarming can cause unnecessary stress and anxiety for clients.
- Inappropriate Comments: Any inappropriate or insensitive remarks can damage the client-therapist relationship.
- Incorrect Cues: Providing incorrect or unclear instructions can lead to improper technique, which might worsen the condition or delay recovery.
- Lack of Clarity: Failing to explain the rationale behind exercises or treatments can leave clients feeling confused and less committed to their therapy.
🌈 Your Voice, Your Recovery:
Never hesitate to ask questions, or express how you're feeling. Together, we can make each session more effective but also enjoyable.
Let's continue this journey with openness and collaboration. Your path to recovery is our shared mission!
💪 Stay Connected
