It is truly remarkable that when I sat down to write my application letter for .crew mentorship program, I realized that even the simple act of reflecting on journey holds incredible value. Perhaps reflection itself is the true beginning of growth.

One of the earliest and most meaningful parts of my story begins with braids. My grandmother used to brush my long hair and tell me beautiful stories. I was always in a hurry, always rushing somewhere, yet I still remember the scent of her hands and the final gentle touch before I ran off to school. It was more than just a hairstyle. It was a ritual of support and love. Those braids stayed perfectly in place all day, even after physical education class.
Looking back, I realize that this was my first experience of understanding how hands, care, and intention can create something strong enough to last through the day.
I have been listening to The Last Look Podcast for years, and I am endlessly grateful for the opportunity to learn from the incredible professionals in the industry, artists who are shaping and elevating it.
For me, being a Hair & Makeup, SFX Artist is more than a profession. It is a world that, once you enter it, you can never close the door behind you. It is a world of textures, colors, shapes, and extraordinarily talented people who are deeply in love with what they do.

I believe that mastery is a constant desire to learn and evolve... not only professionally, but personally. It means refining technical skills, staying curious, and continuously expanding artistic vision.
It also means being physically strong enough to endure 15 hour (even more) shifts, emotionally steady enough to support others, and reliable enough to be the strong shoulder your team can lean on. It means becoming a family on set... where everyone fulfills their role with dedication, respect, and trust.
