Perfume is structure and dance. The dance is the fun part: the movement, the shimmer, the thing that intrigues you and pulls you in. But structure is what holds the scent together. It fills the gaps. It supports the dancers.

Raer 01 Nagarmotha is unusually complex, with dancing layers of Nagarmotha, Frankincense, Makrut Lime, and Atlas Cedar. But it is the structural layer of patchouli that holds the whole thing together.

Patchouli is a relative of mint, originally from India. In perfumery, we use the leaves: woody, spicy, earthy, mineral. It does not smell like hippies and ma*****na. That is a myth. It is one of the most sophisticated base notes in our palette.
