After decades in the noble corridors of law, I now stand at the quiet threshold of retirement, not as an end, but as a graceful turning of the page.
To the world that has been my courtroom, my classroom, and my constant companion, I offer this reflection:
I have argued not merely cases, but causes. I have witnessed justice in its triumphs and in its trials. I have seen the law as both sword and shield, capable of harm when misused, yet powerful beyond measure when guided by integrity.
The wig and gown I once wore were never symbols of status alone; they were daily reminders of duty, duty to truth, to fairness, and to humanity itself.
Today, I lay them down with gratitude.
To my colleagues, whose brilliance sharpened mine—thank you. To my juniors, whose curiosity renewed my spirit, carry the torch further. To the bench, whose wisdom steered the course of justice, I remain in deep respect. And to society, whose faith in the law gives it life, never stop demanding what is right.
Retirement does not silence my voice; it refines it. It frees me to speak not from obligation, but from reflection.
The law will continue, as it must. But my journey within it now transforms into one of mentorship, contemplation, and quiet contribution.
May justice never grow weary. May truth never lose its voice. And may those who follow remember: the law is not merely a profession, it is a calling.
