On this day, January 22, 1970, Pan Am introduced the 747 with its inaugural commercial flight that transported about 350 people (including crew) from New York to London. Lasting nearly 7 hours, this plane ushered in the era of wide-body airliners. It is shown with two former Pan Am 747s in our collection including the same variant, 747-121, that was sold in the same original batch, and the 747SP now known as SOFIA.

Good morning my friends!
I was just tagged in a post on Twitter that was discussing if people should questions the opinions of people with established knowledge in specific areas. Basically “Don’t question things you know nothing about”

My opinion is that, as long as anyone disagrees in a respectful way and is open to explanations, anyone should be able to question everyone.

The very best arguments I have had have led to me changing my own opinion.

Respectful discourse is the way we evolve as a society.
Not being open to new ideas and closing yourself into a bubble of people with exactly the same opinions, is a sure way for society to go backwards.
