nothing annoys me more than hearing about some new diet trend or fad.
It’s not that they don’t work. Honestly, most fad diets will help you lose weight (weight! Not necessarily fat, which is a huge difference) but then what? If you’re like most people, you gain the weight back. And rinse and repeat. It’s a vicious cycle that tears down our self-esteem, self-worth, and zest for enjoying foods.
rules are what makes dieting appealing to begin with. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had clients say to me ‘just tell me exactly what to eat and I’ll follow it.’ The idea of not being in control, not trusting our own body and its needs, is what draws us to the diet.
Restriction leads to deprivation lead to craving and then to guilt
Instead of restriction, try permission. It’s a small change that allows you to take back the power of food/eating.

مفيش حاجه بتزعجني قد ان اني اسمع عن دايت جديد (ترند) أو دايت سريع هيخليك تخس بسرعه
انا مش بقول انه مش بينفع.. هو فعلا هيساعدك تنزل شويه وزن.. وزن ( مش شرط دهون) و ده فرق كبيرا جدا...
طب و بعدها ايه اللي بيحصل... غالبا زي معظم الناس.. بترجع تزيد الوزن اللي نزلته تاني... فتعمل دايت تاني.. و ترجع تزيد تاني.. و هكذا حلقه مفرغه... اللي في الاخر بدمر ثقتنا في نفسنا و علاقتنا بالاكل و كمان بتقلل درجة استمتاعنا بالاكل
قوانين الدايت هي اللي بتجذب الناس ليها..
مش قادرة اوصف كام مره سمعت من العملاء عندي.. الجملة دي.. قولي لي بس آكل ايه و انا هنفذ.. فين ورقة التعليمات! ؟
فكره اننا مش مسيطرين على نفسنا و قرارتنا. و اننا مش أصحاب القرار ( هناكل ايه و نشرب ايه) ولا واثقين في عقلنا و جسمنا... هي اللي بتخلينا نلجأ للدايت.
المنع بيؤدي إلى الحرمان بيؤدي إلى شراهة الاكل.. اللي فالاخر بيوصلنا للشعور بالذنب.
بدل المنع... جرب المنح ( أدى لجسمك اللي محتاجه بدل ماتحرمه)
مجرد تغيير بسيط في عاداتك.... هيرجع لك ثقتك في نفسك و ترجع تسيطر على حياتك من جديد
