Generally, Diabetes is classified into the following four types .
Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disorder characterized by chronic hyperglycaemia
due to defects in insulin secretion and/or insulin action.
Currently, 4–6% of the UK population have diabetes. Worldwide, 285 million people were diagnosed with diabetes in 2010, and this number is predicted to exceed 400 million by 2030.
