For 2022, what I wish for all every person is for you all to « Choose their own adventure ».

Did anyone ever read “Choose You Own Adventure” books growing up? If you have no idea what I am talking about because it was only popular in Canada or the reference is too old, here’s a quick recap: it’s a book where you, as the reader, get to decide your own fate. Each of your decisions change the outcome of the adventure. It’s like the analog version of video games. I grew up in the early 90s and in Canada and it was spectacular 🤗

It got me thinking about life - we are the protagonist of our own lives and each decision has a direct impact on us. Doesn’t sound too insightful yet, but wait for it. We basically have 80-90 good years of life (hopefully more) but it means nothing if you aren’t doing or choosing something that is what your heart and gut feels is 2000% right. We should be choosing those people who are good for you and make you feel happy to spend your time with. We should be choosing jobs that make us excited and get us hopping out of bed to start doing. We should be choosing places and environments that inspire us physically, where we feel re-energised and rested. We make these great decisions for the protagonist in the story - what do you choose for yourself in your own life this new year?

The key to this is that at any time, you can go back and make another choice, alter the path of your story and change the outcome. Just because you’ve chosen something 10 or 20 years ago, does not mean you have to stick with it. We all grow and evolve as humans, make sure the people and places and situations around you also grow and evolve. Choose your own adventure in life - make sure it’s a good adventure because you are sure as hell worth it.
