Tuscan Orris is one of the most expensive fragrance ingredient in Haute Parfumerie.

This flower is very prestigious and many declinations of colors exist. There is more than 200 kind of iris in nature! Iris take part of the iridaceae plant family and is a bulbous plant/rhizome plant.

In perfumery, we only use Tuscan iris (orris).

From the rhizome of the orris, the fragrance ingredient is produced. By three years of drying process, the scent will be richer with special woody, powdery, chocolate, fruity, suede notes. According to the natural alpha-irone level, the price of the iris butter is quite different. The result is an almost solid material; due to the natural myristic acid content and with a very innocent looking butterscotch that will melt with very gentle warmth.
