Many patients come to clinic asking for the shadows from the nose to their mouth (NLF) Nasolabial folds softening as this is one of the areas that become more prominent as we age. ​​​​​​​​​.​​​​​​​​​I recommend ladies of a certain age that we start treating their cheeks as we should treat the cause rather than the reaction.
Many get frightened by the idea of cheeks as scared to “look done”.
But in actual fact if you replace the volume from the upper mid-face you improve not only the cheek area, but the lower face too because everything is re-lifted and the shadows are no longer so obvious on the lower face because the weight is shifted off that nasolabial fat pad.
So why would you ever treat nasolabials on their own? You’ve already had your cheeks treated and the shadows are still distracting.
Or maybe because your cheeks are already full and a small treatment directly to the NLF can make a good difference.
