Just STOP!

Sometimes in order to RESET there is absolutely no other option but to PAUSE, reflect,breathe,REST,then restart.

Some of us, (I know Im very good at reminding others) very much struggle to heal becuse they are stuck in a constant people pleasing cycle.

Healing, in the case of my own journey is most profoundly found when I try to shut out the busy, the loud, the do do do and just simply STOP

I have been dying to post some feedback from recent training.... and these girls are why!!!💖😍😘🤩

The fun, the warmth the energy from the cabin has been just delightful💜

The most satisfying bit however is being able to help the next generation of beauty therapists, or those who are expanding into different areas to gain the best possible training experience. Even those stepping out there comfort zone, to learn a completely new area, its fab to do that!!!.

I myself, fully qualified as a beauty therapist 20 years ago this year!! ☺️😮

Not very long after (I think it was poss 2/3 years later). I was asked if I would like to take on a role occasionaly teaching at Aberdeen College (now NESCOL). At that point it was an evening or odd afternoon. I loved it working along side some people I had massive respect for, having instilled the passion in me Lindsey Hhope Niki Mackay 🫶

I've done various roles within Salons/Spas and Mobile. Opening my own buisiness 10 years ago was no easy task and its always something I constantly strive to improve in. Im so so glad I did though!!!

Something though, always brings me back to training. I returned later and taught both theory and level 3 students at college full time for 6 years. I think my love of seeing people learn the treatments I love, really deepened. I gained my assessing qualification at that time with what I would call the 'elite' when it comes to assessing peoples abilities- Mrs Deborah Fraser 💟

At The Rose Garden, every person who steps in here, I want to ensure remembers that they want to return having had the best experience. Loyalty from so many amazing clients is what has gotten me so far🙏

It's safe to say I am just loving being able to pass on the passion I've always had. Whether that is by way of being the self care time we all deserve.....And now through The Rose Garden Academy.

I'm extremely excited to invite more and more of you to experience 1-1, accredited training where the quality of service and all the small things that really matter to clients, are never over looked!

I took some self reflection time and decided to do something quite frankly unlike me..... even though I will cheerlead you all like you got your own fanclub..👏👏🥳🥳

Yep....I stepped out my comfort zone and put ME first by deciding a wee self care slot was required in order to keep myself healthy!🛌

Overwhelm is real as you all know I am a firm believer in "we arent gonna prioritise our mental health if we cant even own it" Im just so blessed to have family,precious friends and quite frankly many of you who know me so well and how its not really in my nature to prioritise ME.😬

One of these friends gave me a new quote I'm just totally claiming.....

"Surving Not Thriving" relatable huh???🤪🤔

We have much to catch up RG fam, including more students absolutely blowing me away!!Loading soon....self care has included a socials break.

So First and very important.... One of my youngest & quite frankly CAYOOTEST!! Bday princess nails!! Sarah Simpson 👸👸👑👑👑 I've no words.... ok I do.... Many...... I often tell her Mama there arent many you think are as cute as your own.....but this girly = princess perfection!!! The sassy, the cutest, the gorgeous....Miss Mya Simpson

Ps- A wee bit of my own small human- school award! Taz you broke the mold Im not kidding.

Swedish Massage✔️✔️✔️✔️ 🥳

So proud of this one! 🤩She really is a beauty in so many ways! A client who became a friend as we very much clicked instantly.🤗 As soon as I mentioned I was thinking about training from the cabin she was 1 million% in!

She dipped her toe into beauty years ago but didn't train in massage,where her interest really lay!😍

Claire did absolutely amazing picking up the movements so quickly. She has been a very busy mum to three girls, but it was time she did something for her!!! I cant wait to continue to support her in this journey.👧👭

Helping people to learn new skills is so fulfilling! Its always been such a passion of mine. Especially, someone as keen and joyful as this girl.

😍Training Thursday!!😍-Advanced Waxing

My(very long & dreadfully rainy)🌧🌧Thursday got off to a great start meeting the lovely Jessica Mcbain and her fabulous model, who were loving there hair anatomy today!

It can become super wax geeky when examining the strips after removal!!!🤪🤪🤪

We discussed the various directions our models hair was growing in,which is common when clients shave previously. Directions can be literally be up down and generally all over the place!⬅️➡️⬇️↘️⬆️

We had to adjust techniques and work in slightly smaller sections for more effective removal ✔️✔️✔️

Both my student and her model were quite fascinated🤩 They could see how, as we adapted our techniques to target removing the 'bulk of hair' (the area where most of the growth was in the same direction), that removal become more succesful!🙌🏻🙌🏻

Jess did just FAB!! Looking forward to touching base to see where Jess's journey will take her!
