A link up between local business 🤝 Whisky Barrel Brithers and Abergavenny garden centre teamed up to get some bespoke planter made up for Lucy Hockey Hair Studio This place is looking amazing and now so is Blake!

And that ladies and gents is a wrap!

Tonight we locked the doors to Swan House for the last time after 5 years of being there. It’s been an adventure but as one door closes another one opens 💕

We absolutely love our new Salon home -city Lower Monk Street (so much so we forgot until this weekend that we needed to empty the swan 🤣)

We have loved being at Swan House and not to put a dampener on anything but so many people have asked why would we want to move from such a great building, well here goes !
It’s been a tough few years for our family unit,
As most of you know my husband Paul had his first stroke just 2 weeks in to the first lockdown, he’s had a few more since and also has vascular dementia! He was with us the night before we opened at the swan helping us clean and prepare for the opening. 5 years on he is now completely bed bound and we have carers to help look after him so I can work. I need to to get my work life balance in order so I’m able to spend more time with Paul. Over the coming months I’ll be reducing my work hours slightly to enable me to be home a little more.
Don’t panic I’ll still be here to make you look fabulous 💕

A new salon home was the answer, we really think you’ll love it as much as we do 💕

I need to say a Massive thanks to Lydia, Emma and Russ for all there help today and Delilah who has worked as hard as us cleaning and loading the van

No looking back, only forward and on to the next chapter!

Well… we made it! 🥹 It’s been blood, sweat, tears (and maybe a few frantic coffees) getting here. Running a business while moving it at the same time? Let’s just say… character building. 😅

We want to give the biggest shout-out to our incredible local tradies — the carpenter, painter, plumbers, electricians, our very own lorry driver and our personal favourite, Callum Hockey 🙌 — you have pulled off miracles and kept us laughing through the dust.

A huge thank you to our new landlord, who truly went above and beyond every step of the way. We could not have done this without your support.

To our amazing salon girls — you’ve kept us sane, motivated, and reminded us why we’re doing this when we were surrounded by boxes and madness. 💪💖

And to our wonderful clients… THANK YOU for riding out the chaos with us — the missing stations, the mess, the “wait, wasn’t that just here?!” moments. Your patience, loyalty, and excitement have meant everything.

The whispers are true…
Our time at The Swan is coming to an end.

Like Goldilocks on her journey, we’ve been searching for the place that feels just right.

Our last space was too small.
The Swan has been incredible, but maybe… a little too big.
Now, we’ve found the one that fits us perfectly — and we can’t wait to make it ours.

But don’t worry — we’re not going far.
We’ll still be right here in Abergavenny, and we’re not going anywhere just yet.
We’ll be at The Swan right through until autumn.

We’re so grateful for the memories, the love, and all the beautiful moments we’ve shared here.
But it’s time for the next chapter — and trust us, it’s going to be just right.
