🏃‍♀️ 100 Miles for May – The Final Stretch 🤍

Today I’m heading out for a 14km run (8.7 miles)… which will leave me with just 14km left to go to complete my 100 Miles for May challenge 🥹

Honestly, if you’d told teenage me (or even January me 😅) that I’d voluntarily be running this much, I’d have laughed while sat down… and right now, sitting down actually sounds quite appealing 😂

So far, this challenge has been about so much more than miles. It’s been about showing up — even on tired days, busy clinic days, emotional days, and days where motivation felt nowhere to be found.

I’m running to raise awareness and funds for two charities close to my heart: SKCIN and Melanoma Focus, helping support skin cancer awareness, prevention and education ☀️🤍

After today… just 8.7 miles left. The finish line is officially in sight 🏁

If you’d like to support my final push, I’d be incredibly grateful 🤍

P.S. If you see me at Picnic in the Park this weekend with the Skin & Wellness team… there’s a strong chance I’ll be looking for the nearest chai

All set for a series of nervous system calming, bespoke bodywork - first up someone who’s stressed out, working too hard and needs a break, I’m gladly here to help anyone switch off for 90 minutes.

Then a returning OG client from Shropshire, I haven’t seen this beauty for a year or maybe longer, she’s travelling 60 miles and I’ll be doing a Brazilian lymphatic drainage massage for her using multiple modalities to reduce puffiness, stagnant lymph and to help sculpt and refresh her body and mind.

If you’re thinking it’s a bit late for all this, you’d be wrong. I’m often in the clinic until 10pm midweek to support busy women to make time after work, children and to help they let the day go.

Bagging up a little gift for a client whose experiencing hot sweats during “the change” she’s a beautiful woman, inside and out.

Little random acts of kindness are everything, this little spray will help her reduce breakouts on her body during/post flush.

It might not be much, but helping other women navigate the Menopause means a lot to me.

Stacey | The Skin Therapist
British Skin Specialist | Skin & Wellness, Alvechurch

With over 20 years in skincare, I help clients achieve healthier, stronger, more confident skin through a personalised, results-driven approach that blends advanced skin therapies with holistic wellness.

Having personally experienced acne in my teens and now navigating rosacea myself, I understand the emotional side of problematic skin and what it truly feels like to be on a journey with your skin.

Specialising in concerns including acne, rosacea, pigmentation, sensitivity, skin ageing, congestion, dullness and compromised skin barriers, I create bespoke treatment plans tailored to your skin, lifestyle and goals.

Treatments include microneedling, chemical peels, IPL skin rejuvenation, Hydro Facials, dermaplaning, LED light therapy, Bio RePeel, Bio Meso bio-microneedling, lymphatic facial sculpting and advanced massage therapies — always chosen with intention, not trends.

My philosophy? Healthy skin starts from within. I believe skin health is deeply connected to stress, hormones, lifestyle, nervous system regulation and emotional wellbeing — because glowing skin is never just about skincare.

A little update on my 100 Miles for May challenge… and somehow, I’m now 57.9 miles in 🏃🏼‍♀️☀️ (Who even am I?!)

For those who don’t know, this challenge is incredibly personal to me.

In 2019, I had an early-stage malignant melanoma removed — something that completely changed how I view skin health and the importance of early detection. As a skin therapist, I’ve always cared deeply about helping people feel confident in their skin, but after my own experience, prevention, education and skin awareness became even more important to me.

That’s why this month I’m taking on 💯 Miles for May in support of SKCIN and Melanoma Focus — helping to raise awareness of skin cancer, early detection, prevention and the importance of knowing your own skin.

I’ve also trained with SKCIN to help identify suspicious lesions and introduced mole screening support in clinic, because if sharing knowledge or my own experience helps even one person get something checked earlier, it matters.

I won’t lie… my legs are definitely questioning my life choices at this point 😅 but we keep going.

And if you spot me at Picnic in the Park this Sunday with the Skin & Wellness Team, please know that if I’m sitting down more than usual… it’s not bad manners😂 Come and say hello — we’d love to see you.

If you’d like to support the charities (and help motivate me through the remaining miles!), you can donate here 🤍

Thank you so much for the encouragement so far — every message, share, donation and cheer genuinely means the world.

Be well,

🌺Stacey
