stepping in to a fresh year and back to work
The last of 2024 seems like a blur
2025 was the most draining year for my family
2026 I live in hope its a better year for us

Giving in 2025 i put my family and personal life first

2026 I have decided to continue this

I will be working Wednesday-Saturday and I’m also going to be cutting some hours.
2024/2025 taught me anything is that life can change in the blink of an eye
And time to make more time for those moments we take for granted

I will be working

Wednesday and Thursday 10am-8pm
Friday 8.30am-6pm
Saturday 9am-4pm
One Saturday per month
I’ll be working 9am-1pm

Saturday 6 th Feb and Saturday 14 th Feb I am off both these days

And now it’s time for the Facebook break I’ll be deleting the app but you will still be able to text or private message, call salon on 01506 632323
for any appointments

So here’s to 2026

Happy new year you fabulous bunch
I’d like to thank you all for all the support over my hardest most challenging year.
A year that broke me, exhausted me in ways I never knew were possible
And a year where I finally put myself first.
Closing my business , house renovations and the rest that doesn’t need to be made public
You’re support really does mean the world to me

And just like that it’s the week before Christmas
5 months in star and I’m sure you can see a more relaxed happier version of me this year.
A move over 5 months ago little did I know how relaxed I would be a whole year later.

This week in the salon is extremely busy and salon is open Tuesday - Tuesday
Salon will close Tuesday 23rd December

I return to the salon on 29 th December
I will also be working 30 th December
Then I will be having some well earned time off to recharge the batteries ready for 2026

My next appointments are now Wednesday 7 th January
The first week back there will be no late night appointments with myself and a slight change to my working hours

Replies will be a little slower please call salon instead as I won’t be able to reply straight away

Christmas madness is well and truly under way in star
The girls and myself are back from stobbo and ready for the last few weeks of December
The salon is extremely busy, if you haven’t sorted your appointment please call the salon and we will see what we can do.
Please be mindful that there are temporary traffic lights at the cavalier which are a 3 ways system in place.

Today I said see you later to a long term client
Our Shona

Shona was an absolute joy to have in the salon over the years and was always a huge supporter

Even when she could no longer make her hair appointments and rocked the wigs I still kept in touch and kept her updated on my decision to close the salon.

Shona was going through so much but she was always there supporting me every single time
Every time she’d come in we’d have endless laughter and chats
My fondest memory will be the house call hair cut and my auld pal there To crack the jokes and support her auntie Shona
Shona Learnt me that no matter what life throws at you you go in to it with a smile
Something she was always doing smiling and laughing

Shona every one who knew you will miss your huge smile and that great heart

Sending so much love to all of shonas family and friends especially the clampits 😘

I have some exciting news to share 😃 I found out yesterday (the people of Armadale may have heard some excited squeals whilst I was in my office at Star Hair Design & Beauty 🙈) but was waiting for the logo and official email!

We were pleased to consider you for the category Florist of the Year - Scotland (West Lothian) and as confirmed, the team have said they would be happy to select you as the winners for the 2025 programme . Congratulations again.

The judges reviewed your feedback from clients and were really impressed. What came across consistently were comments around your professionalism and how comprehensive you are in every part of the process. It’s great to see such good reviews and we are pleased to recognise your hard work.

There will be an 'official photo shoot/presentation' later in the year which of course I'll share with you 🥰
