Some sets mean more than others. šŸ’œšŸ¦‹

I created these nails for myself to wear to my sister’s funeral.

Purple felt like the only colour that could be on my nails that day. I wanted flowers, a butterfly, and lots of encapsulated glitter—because she deserved something beautiful.

It’s also the first time in years I’ve gone back to encapsulated glitter in acrylic. Sometimes the techniques we leave behind find their way back to us when we need them most. Creating this set was strangely comforting; it reminded me why I fell in love with nail art in the first place.

Every flower, every piece of glitter and every brushstroke carries a little piece of love.

This set isn’t just nail art.
It’s a memory.
It’s a goodbye.
It’s for my sister. šŸ’œ

Thank you to everyone who has supported me over the last few weeks. Every message, every kind word and every bit of patience while I’ve found my way back has meant more than you’ll ever know.

When life gives you lemons… add cherries too. šŸ‹šŸ’

I had so much fun creating this fresh, fruity set. The hand-painted details and textured 3D lemons make this design feel so bright and playful for summer.

Nail art like this reminds me why I love what I do, turning tiny canvases into something that makes someone smile every time they look down at their hands.

Would you wear a fruity set like this, or are you more of a classic neutral kind of person?

✨ 14 years in business today… ✨

Fourteen years ago I took a leap of faith and started Josette’s Nail Artistry, never imagining where it would lead.

Over the years I’ve had the privilege of meeting so many wonderful people, creating thousands of nail sets, watching trends come and go, and constantly pushing myself to learn and improve. Some of you have been with me from the very beginning, while others have only recently joined my little corner of the internet, and I’m grateful for every single one of you.

This past year has been one of the most difficult of my life personally, so reaching this milestone feels even more significant. Your kindness, support and continued trust have meant more than you’ll ever know.

Thank you for choosing me, recommending me, cheering me on and allowing me to do a job that I genuinely love every single day.

Here’s to celebrating 14 incredible years and looking forward to everything that’s still to come. šŸ„‚šŸ’›

Happy 14th Birthday, Josette’s Nail Artistry! ✨

Not every appointment needs nail art to make a statement.

Sometimes a flawless, high-shine block colour is all it takes. Clean prep, perfect application and a colour that speaks for itself.

I absolutely love creating detailed nail art, but I love simple, elegant sets just as much. Whether you’re after something bold and artistic or classic and timeless, I’m here for both.

Which are you choosing… Team Nail Art šŸŽØ or Team Plain Nails 🌸?

Purple wasn’t just a colour choice this time.

These nails were created for my sister to wear as we say goodbye to our beautiful Michaela on Tuesday. šŸ’œ

She’ll be surrounded by purple, by family, and by so much love.

It’s strange how something I do every day can suddenly carry so much meaning.

Every detail this week feels different.

Forever our sister. Forever loved. šŸ’œ

It’s been a little while since I’ve posted.

Life has looked very different over the past few weeks after losing my beautiful sister, and if I’m honest, social media just didn’t feel important.

But nails have always been my creative outlet, and slowly I’m finding my way back to doing what I love.

So here’s a little pop of colour to ease myself back into this space. šŸ’•

Thank you to every single client, friend and follower who has shown me kindness, patience and support. It has meant more than you’ll ever know.

I’m looking forward to sharing beautiful nails with you all again. ✨

To everyone who checked in on me, sent flowers, donated, messaged, or simply gave me grace while I took time away… thank you. I’ll never forget your kindness. ā¤ļø

I am completely overwhelmed by the kindness, generosity, and support shown to our family over the last few days.

When I created the fundraiser, I never imagined we would reach the target so quickly, let alone exceed it. Thanks to every single person who donated, shared the page, sent messages, or simply kept us in their thoughts, we have now raised enough to cover the funeral costs for Michaela.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. During the most difficult time of our lives, you have lifted a huge weight from our family’s shoulders and shown us just how loved Michaela was.

As the fundraiser has raised more than we originally needed, any money not used towards Michaela’s funeral expenses will be donated in her memory. We know she would have wanted any extra support to help others and create something positive from all the love that has been shown.

Thank you for helping us give Michaela the send-off she deserves. We will never forget your kindness.

With love and gratitude,

Michaela’s family šŸ’œ

This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write.

As many of you know, we suddenly lost my beautiful sister, Michaela, at just 34 years old. Our family is still trying to come to terms with the shock and heartbreak of losing her so unexpectedly.

Her funeral will take place on 7th July, and whilst we want to give Michaela the send-off she deserves, we have been left with a shortfall of £1,200 towards the funeral costs.

I never imagined I would be asking for financial help, and doing so feels incredibly difficult. However, I don’t want my parents to carry the added burden of financial worry whilst grieving the loss of their daughter.

If anyone is able to contribute, no matter how small the amount, we would be deeply grateful. If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing this fundraiser would mean the world to us.

Thank you for all the love, support, messages and kindness that have been shown to our family during this unimaginable time. Every gesture has helped us more than you know.

Michaela was loved by so many, and we want to honour her memory with the farewell she deserves.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. šŸ’œ

It still doesn’t feel real that we are having to say goodbye to my beautiful sister, Michaela.

For those who would like to join us in celebrating her life, her funeral will take place on 7th July at 11:30am at Mayfield Church.

Michaela was loved by so many and touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Although our hearts are broken, we want the day to reflect the wonderful person she was and the happiness, laughter and love she brought into the world.

We kindly ask for family flowers only, with donations, if desired, to The Ark Dogs Trust, a cause that meant a lot to her.

Michaela’s favourite colour was purple, so we would love for everyone attending to wear something purple in her memory. whether that’s an item of clothing, a flower, a badge, a ribbon, or any small touch of purple. We would much rather celebrate her life with colour than mourn her in black.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us, shared memories, sent messages and simply been there for us during this incredibly difficult time. It has meant more than words can say.

We will miss her every day, but we will carry her love, strength and memory with us forever.

šŸ’œ Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our Michaela. šŸ’œ
