Sorry I’m a bit late posting on here but it’s been a bit of a crazy few weeks…..

✨Xander Orion Shaw✨
born 20th may at 10.25am. weighing 6lb 8oz.

What an absolute whirlwind of a story….from just going for a routine growth scan on Monday 18th may to having a high blood pressure when checked after and kept in overnight. To then Tuesday when I was just about to go home as it had stabilised to then my waters breaking just like in the films 😳 I progressed with natural labour very quickly overnight but me and Xander had to have a lot of intervention which then caused me a massive bleed where I was rushed to theatre after loosing 3 litres of blood and after several blood transfusions the surgeons literally saved my life. I honestly didn’t think I would be here. Xander was also very poorly and in high dependency but he’s come down to me now after I hadn’t seen him since he came out. We are both doing well and I honestly can’t thank all the staff, surgeons and midwife’s at Derby hospital, they have been incredible and to my amazing husband for giving you the fright of your life, you stepped up and took over looking after Xander so well and i can’t thank you enough for everything and being so brave.

We were in hospital for 8 days and i was so glad to come out it was awful up in the main ward but we have been settling in at home as a family of 4. Thank you to all my clients for the messages, presents and cards. It’s so kind of you all 🫶

Little update….im still here waddling along with my big bump 😂 got another scan today so will see what’s happening with little man but at the moment its looking about the 8th June as everything seems to be fine at the moment 🤞

Last couple of appointments left before I go on maternity leave…..

Well it’s my last week in the salon. 🩷 I have mixed emotions as I wanted to work a little longer but this little man has other ideas 🙈 I do have a few smaller spaces come up this week so if you want anything last minute let me know and I’ll do my best to get you in. Again thank you to all my clients for being so fabulous and understanding. I will miss you all but I will keep everyone updated and let you know when I’m back in the salon glamming you all up again 💋

🤰Baby update 🤰

Just a little update to say I have been to the hospital today and baby is all good at the moment. But he’s measuring on the bigger side and my fluid hasn’t changed so I have got to go for more tests and scans now every few weeks.
I was hoping to go up to early may but my doctor has told me I need to start thinking about rest now and do nothing to bring on early labour before my c section as the amount of fluid i have would be dangerous for me to go into natural labour with baby. So I need to listen now and rest.

Any clients in my last week in may I will contact you.

Once again I can’t thank you all enough, this pregnancy definitely has been testing 🙈 but main thing is keeping baby safe. 💙

✨Update ✨

Morning everyone, just thought I would do an update….im still here at the salon. I’m hoping to work up to early in may but I’m taking it week by week. I will know a lot more in the next few weeks as I have a couple of hospital appointments to access baby.
I don’t have much left now but if you did want an appointment I’ll do my best to get you in.

I have had to stop massage and standing for long periods but everything else I’m ok with at the moment.

✨Just a little update ✨

I had a bit of a scare yesterday and ended up in hospital with my pregnancy. I have been told I need to take it easy and rest and not be on my feet as much as I can. I’m still going to try and work but I’m so sorry if I have to cancel or rearrange you as I may have to reduce my hours.

Thank you to my clients today for being so understanding, I hate letting you all down but I know I need to rest and do as the doctors say. 🩷
