πΏ A beautiful day at Hen Camp πΏ
Today we had the pleasure of spending the morning at Hen Camp - Group Glamping Venue Field Head Farm Staffordshire providing treatments for a lovely hen party group.
With the temperatures soaring, we started early and set up in a shady spot amongst the trees, creating a calm little wellbeing space for the group to enjoy. π€
Between us, we provided a mixture of massages and facials, giving everyone a chance to relax, unwind and take a little time for themselves before continuing their celebrations.
A huge thank you to the wonderful group for booking with us. It was a pleasure to be part of your weekend, and I'm so pleased you enjoyed your treatments.
I'd also like to say a big thank you to Tasha from Shepherd's Rest Holistic Therapies for helping me today. It's so lovely working alongside you β¨
And, as always, thank you to the team at Hen Camp at Field Head Farm for creating such a beautiful setting. It really is a special place to work.
Much love,
Kelly πΏππ»ββοΈπ xx

A therapist's observations during a heatwave... βοΈ
Yesterday I spent the morning with a client in my garden room before heading to Mayfield Snuggery Lodges for an afternoon of treatments with a lovely returning mother and daughter.
To say it was warm would be an understatement! π₯΅
By mid-afternoon, the coolest place in the lodge was the bathroom, so yes... you guessed it, that's where I set upβwith my feet firmly on the tiled floor. π
One thing I notice during periods of hot weather is how differently our bodies respond.
Many people feel more fatigued, sleep less well, experience headaches, become dehydrated, or notice they're carrying more physical tension than usual.
When temperatures rise, it's easy to focus on getting through the day and forget that our bodies are working harder than normal.
A gentle reminder to:
π§ Stay hydrated
πΏ Listen to your body's signals
π΄ Prioritise rest where you can
βοΈ Be kind to yourself if your energy levels feel a little lower than usual
As therapists, we're always encouraging others to look after themselves, but yesterday I was definitely taking my own advice, and will be for the rest of the heatwave π₯΅
Much love,
Kelly πΏππ»ββοΈπ xx

βοΈ Another heatwave...
I have to admit, 30β°c is a bit too hot for me these days π₯΅ must be an age thing π
With temperatures set to soar this week, Kip and I have been making the most of the cooler early mornings before the heat really kicks in. πΎπ€
It's also a good reminder that self-care doesn't always have to be something big or elaborate. Sometimes it's as simple as getting outside for some fresh air, drinking enough water, finding a shady spot to sit with a coffee, or taking a few quiet moments for yourself.
As someone who spends a lot of time encouraging others to look after themselves, I'm reminding myself to do the same this week.
Are you someone who loves the heat, or are you counting down the days until it cools down a little? βοΈπΏ
Much love,
Kelly πΏππ»ββοΈπ xx

β¨ No two days are ever the same β¨
One of the things I love most about my work is the variety.
I get to support clients in the most beautiful countryside settings, sometimes for hen party celebrations and others can be couples enjoying a midweek or weekend getaway.
While a lot of my treatments are in lodges, holiday cottages, glamping retreats, and wellness escapes, I also have regular clients who visit my cosy little garden therapy room.
Every location is different, but the purpose is always the same: creating a moment for people to slow down, switch off, and take care of themselves.
I never take for granted the trust my clients place in me, whether they're celebrating a special occasion or simply carving out some much-needed time to relax ππ»ββοΈ
I appreciate every single one of you. Thank you π
Much love,
Kelly πΏππ»ββοΈπ xx

πΏπ‘ Today's office π‘πΏ
Today I had the pleasure of visiting a beautiful holiday cottage to provide treatments for a couple celebrating their anniversary.
One of the things I love most about my work is that no two days are ever the same. One day I might be treating a hen party, another a group of friends enjoying a getaway, and today it was a couple taking some time to relax and celebrate together.
Adding a treatment to a special occasion can be such a lovely way to slow down, switch off, and make the moment even more memorable.
Thank you for choosing me to be part of your celebration. π₯β¨
Much love,
Kelly πΏππ»ββοΈ xx

πΏ Why is it so hard to relax when we need it most?
This weekend I was treating a lovely hen party at Secret Cloud House Holidays while the wind and rain were doing their best to make themselves known outside! π§οΈ
It got me thinking about something I hear all the time:
"I've been meaning to book a treatment for ages," or "I should do this more often."
So many of us wait until we're exhausted, stressed, or completely burnt out before giving ourselves permission to slow down.
The truth is, relaxation isn't a reward for reaching breaking point.
Taking time to rest can support nervous system regulation, helping your body shift out of that constant state of fight-or-flight mode and into a place where it can relax, recover, and restore. It can also help ease muscular tension, encourage better sleep, and give your mind and body the chance to reset.
Regular moments of rest can have a powerful impact on your overall wellbeing, helping you feel calmer, more balanced, and better able to cope with the demands of everyday life.
Sometimes an hour of dedicated self-care is exactly what your body has been asking for.
When was the last time you did something just for you? π€
Much love,
Kelly πΏππ»ββοΈπ xx

Dropping the shoulders (and nursing a very unwelcome cold!) πβπΎ
βIβve spent most of today feeling a bit sorry for myself and drinking my weight in Lemsip, so this Monday post is arriving a little later than planned!
βBut as I sit here on the sofa this evening, looking through all the incredibly beautiful, kind messages you left on my post yesterday for National Cancer Survivor Day, my heart is just so full. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Your warmth blew me away and has been the absolute best medicine today. π
βKip is currently on nursing duty, curled up right next to me, reminding me that sometimes the body just demands a slow, quiet pause.
βIβm signing off for the night to get some proper rest so I can get back to doing what I love later this week. I hope youβve all had a much healthier start to your week than me! Have a gentle evening, everyone. β¨
