The past year has changed me in ways I never expected. Looking back at the road that led me here, I can see how much has been stripped back, how much has hurt, but also how much I’ve grown by simply surviving it.

In April, I hit breaking point. I experienced a mental breakdown that led to time in psychiatric hospital, a moment where everything felt like it had collapsed at once. It was frightening, humbling, and deeply painful. My mental health was pushed to its limits, and there were days I genuinely didn’t know how I would keep going.

While I was there, I met people who were fighting their own battles. One of them, Laura, later lost her life to su***de. Although I didn’t know her for long, I think about her often. I hope she knew that her words mattered and were not in vain. I carry that with me as a reminder of the responsibility I feel to live fully, because I was given a second chance at life.

But I am still here.

This year hasn’t just been hard for me. It has been hard for the people around me too. Thank you to my incredible team, my amazing husband, and my beautiful children for never giving up on me, for holding me up when I couldn’t stand, for believing in me when I didn’t believe in myself, and for walking beside me through the hardest moments.

Thank you as well to my clients and students for your patience, trust, kindness, and continued belief in me during a time when I was rebuilding myself. Your support has meant more than you will ever know.
