We want to reach out to anyone who is feeling that life is not worth living or struggling with their mental health to contact us.

We know it can be difficult to reach out sometimes but that first step may change everything.

To the men and women of wrights:

I wanted to take some time this morning to send a message out to all of you.

I have been where you are this morning- the hurt, the despair, the fear for your future. I understand just how scary this time is but what I want to say to you is this:

The community are behind you all. We see you. We see your years of service and we see the devastation that this has caused. The wider Ballymena community are here for you all. Please take up any and all offers of support that you will receive during the days and weeks ahead. This does not have to be it - I also know that.

I was originally an engineer by trade and suffered redundancy. One day I was a working man with a home and family to support and the next I wasn’t. It was a bleak time, but - things can and will get better. I am a world away from that now and this will come for you too. Yes it takes grit and determination but the community don’t doubt that all of you have that in you. There are opportunities out there waiting for you, whatever you may once have dreamt of doing now is the time.

There is little I can offer by way of practical support, I realise at this time a haircut is the least of your worries, but I do know we have many regular clients who will be in that bleak place this morning and I would like them to know they are all being thought of at this time. I want to extend to them support in any way I can. If you have appointments coming up with us and you are concerned that you won’t be able to make them, please get in touch and we will do our best to help.

If you need a chat, an ear to listen, a shoulder of support, a beer and a bit of lighthearted craic to lift your spirits the TWB doors are open.

Lean on your friends, family and on the community and above all never give up...

Spent the evening putting a new pocket into my I did have to rip a lot of the jeans apart to get it done but hopefully this material lasts longer that the stuff the professionals used, I used blackout curtain lining material 🤣
