PART 6……💝SCARLETT 💝
I have know Scarlett all of her life!!

She is the most recent addition to the team. She is proving to be worth her weight in gold!!
The Girls love her!!! She has slotted in perfectly, interacting with all the clients, chatty and hard working ( no surprise to me though as she is the daughter of my oldest, dear, family friend Andrea🫶🏻, who l meet at the age of 3 when we moved to Barnsley from the East End of London in 1972😍)
Scarlett is in the middle of her exams at school at the moment and looking forward to her prom and the holidays before she starts college in September ❤️

PART 5..COURTNEY
Courtney is our resident nail technician Foot health Practitioner and she is my Stepdaughter
She is a Pocket Rocket!!…
Though she is tiny(just under 5ft) and looks about 10yrs old😂😂😂She is 31 and married to Jack🥰

Courtney started full time beauty college in 2012, going on to do nail technology level 2 & 3

In 2014 ( after doing a little mobile work to build clients) She moved into a small room in HairbyEid
During this time she continued training …(Hd brows and makeup)

LOCKDOWN😱During this period we realised Courtney had outgrown the room she had and was doing quite a lot of her work in the actual salon. Which during lockdown was impossible ( so we stuck her in the garage🤣🤣😳)
JOKE!!!😂😜)
No ….Courts moved out for a while while we knocked down the garage which was only used for storage and built her a self contained beauty salon (it doesn’t end here!)
2022..Back to college in Berkshire!!
Qualifying as a foot Practitioner in 2023
She now works as a Nail technician/ foot practitioner in quote on quote ….

Part 4…..AND HERE’s THE LOVELY LUCY
( not sure who is boss these days , me or her !!!😳)
Lucy started working at HairbyEid on 2nd November 2002!!! She was just 16years old !!in her last year of school.
I know this date because it was the weekend l very first opened the doors of what would become my second home…EID❤️❤️❤️
Lucy’s family were clients of mine and l asked if she wanted a Saturday and late night job (as l was going to be working alone for the time being)
This changed the whole direction for Lucy job wise, as she had always wanted to be a chef before this.
By the time Lucy had left school and decided to take up hairdressing in the summer of 2003, Timing wasn’t on our side as l had had to employ an apprentice full time in the December. Lucy stayed in touch, but did her apprentice at another salon ( where she settled and qualified to Level 3)…
September came around, l decided to take on another apprentice (GRACE …❤️) instead of employing a stylist, as l wanted to train my own staff.
Grace and Lucy met at college and independently became very good friends 💕
Lucy settled down with Craig and had three daughters Lydia, Sophie & Milly
Then almost ten years ago now ,when the girls were all at school, the timing at last was right for us! (l needed a new stylist ) Lucy came back!!…and has been mother hen, bossing us all around ever since🙏🏻❤️

PART 3….GRACE
CANT BELIEVE GRACE IS 40 THIS YEAR!!!!!
Time goes so quickly……
Grace came for her trial day for a work place apprenticeship on 3rd SEPTEMBER 2003 She didn’t tell me at the time but she had just left school and it was her 17th Birthday
(Good job she got the job…but what a birthday present !!!…being stuck with me for the next 23years plus😜😩😉)
She left college three years later qualified to level 3 and was student of the year
Grace left HairbyEid for a short time during the 2008 recession with the promise of more hours than I could not give her . I fully understood her decision at the time.. The job didn’t turn out to be what it promised and she came back ….and has been with me ever since.
Since then, Grace has had a son Stanley who is 4 in September and is engaged to Antony.
Because our salon is run traditionally with the girls being employed ( l don’t rent chairs) we have continuity and talk about finishing each other’s sentence the girls can literally finish each others work 🤣
We use wella products as a rule and have Wella in salon for training in new products and techniques when needed.

INTRODUCING OURSELVES
(part 2) …..ME🫣
Hi l’m Michelle (Shell to most)
I went to Art College when l left school in 1985😱 (on the advice of others as l was apparently very artistic! l got an A in o-level Art )l actually wanted to be a Hairdresser back then, loved Art, but knew l had made a mistake ….l stuck my general Art & design course out and came out with the a B-tec diploma ( equivalent of two A-levels ) and two more A-levels in Art and design so it was worth finishing the Course
After that l trained to be a hairdresser at Roberto Moura in Leeds City Centre ( private academy)
A few years on and l decided l wanted my own salon so left Leeds and went mobile in Barnsley till l found one…..
And that’s where l have been for 24 yrs HairbyEid 2Greenwood terrace(off sackville st) Barnsley 🥰

I have got out of the habit of posting on facebook…Everyone talking TikTok and stuff just put me off!!
