On May 25th 2018 a new data protection law will come in to force, known as General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Can I ask that all future enquiries MUST be made via email to [email protected] and appointments MUST be booked on the online booking system. NOT on my personal Phone number/Facebook/Snapchat/WhatsApp/instagram or pages.

Not doing so could result in a fine or prosecution.

Due to these recent changes in data protection, I ask that all of my previous/current clients kindly confirm that I can continue to hold your personal data consisting of your Name, Contact Number and Your Client Records.

All previous (and future) clients have a treatment record card which records your name, address, DOB, email address, with your consent and any medical history which you feel is relevant and that may impact the outcome of your treatments, plus the treatment you are receiving and the date you receive it. These record cards are kept in a locked metal filing cabinet to which only I, Tanya Evans trading as Tanya Evans Nails and Beauty have access to. These records are used solely for appointment purposes and your data won’t be disclosed to any third party. I will not use your personal information for any marketing purposes.

stating that ‘YES’ you give your consent for me to hold these records. Followed by your name. I am required to keep this information for legal and insurance purposes. All information is kept for a period of 7 years from initial communication after which it will be securely destroyed unless you are still a client of mine. You do have the right to see any information I keep and you can request that any data be changed or securely destroyed.

For children under the age of 16 requiring treatment, I will need parental consent in the form of a signature on their record card.

Due to the new GDPR regulations I have to do this by law.

Unfortunately if I do not receive confirmation by FRIDAY 25TH MAY 2018, I will have no choice but to securely destroy any records that I hold that are not consented for. ALL MESSAGES BETWEEN PAST, FUTURE AND EXISTING CLIENTS WILL NOW BE DELETED THEREFORE IF YOU HAVE CONTACTED ME REGARDING AN ENQUIRY/APPOINTMENT AND HAVEN’T YET RECEIVED A REPLY YOU WILL NEED TO SEND YOUR MESSAGE VIA EMAIL TO THE EMAIL ADDRESS PROVIDED.
