Rachael’s wedding look was centred around a deep, dark and dramatic lip as well as a bright, glistening eye make-up, fluttery lashes and flawless skin. The dress was plain satin but brought the drama on the volume department so the make-up had to live up to this in its own right! I highly recommend the lip stains if you want a dramatic lip for a special occasion because once they’re set they DO NOT BUDGE 💋 thanks for the rec ✌🏻

Hannah’s autumnal inspired make-up still looked ABSOLUTELY FLAWLESS when she hit the dance floor to let loose to some emo bangers at her wedding back in March! It honestly makes me burst with pride seeing just how life proof I can make your wedding make-up. It’s all in the prep, the layering of products and that all important setting spray 💨

Safe to say my little mind was blown when I checked my emails to find a message from the gorgeous babes letting me know that I'm a bloody finalist for Best Hair Stylist in the first ever Alt Wedding Fair Awards!🤍

To even be considered amongst some of the most phenomenal, creative, kind hair artist in the Alt Wedding World that I look up to is an utter honour, and something that little teenage emo Jess could have never imagined would happen to her!🤍

There is so much I could say right now, but at the same time I'm truly speechless (a rarity for me I know!) but just know that every like, comment, share, booking, recommendation, natter, and just overall support means more than the world to me, I adore you all endlessly 🤍

Safe to say my flabbers were gasted when not one but two emails landed in my inbox today from the wonderful humans at informing me I’m a finalist in the first ever Alt Wedding Fair Awards! I’m a finalist in the Best Make-Up Artist category AND the Above and Beyond Award 😳😱🤯🥹

To even be considered amongst some of the incredible artists/suppliers/creatives championed by Alt Wedding Fair is something I’m in awe of and feel absolutely honoured to be a part of such a supportive, inclusive, open and loving community! Imposter syndrome is still something I think most of battle with, there’s been times I’ve questions where do I fit in? Am I alternative enough to be considered an alternative wedding supplier? (I certainly don’t feel cool enough 😆) but if I’ve learned anything from meeting the wonderful couples and suppliers at the AWF it’s that we all generally feel the same, and are united in our sometimes feeling like an outsider. It sounds a bit like an oxymoron to be honest but it’s always comforting to know you aren’t the only one!!

Anyway I’m going to stop rambling, but please just know anyone who likes, comments, shares, supports, books or recommends me you are part of the reason I get to do what I love and be recognised in this wonderful way. Thank you will never be a big enough word or gesture to express how grateful I am 🖤🤘🏻 here’s to being a weirdo and thriving from it!
