✨ Happy International Self-Care Day! ✨
Today is a reminder that looking after yourself isn’t selfish… it’s essential. 💛
Self-care isn’t always bubble baths and candles. Sometimes it’s:
🤍 Drinking more water
🤍 Going for a walk
🤍 Saying “no” when you need to
🤍 Prioritising your sleep
🤍 Booking that health check
🤍 Looking after your skin because it makes you feel confident
As an aesthetics nurse, I believe self-care is about feeling healthy, confident and comfortable in your own skin – whatever that looks like for you. Treatments can be part of that journey, but true self-care starts with being kind to yourself every single day.
Today, take a few minutes just for you. You deserve it. 🌿
I’d love to know… what’s one thing you’ll do for yourself today? 💕

Sculptra is the treatment I recommend more than almost any other in clinic, and yet it's still one of the least understood.
Most people who haven't heard of it assume it's a type of filler. It isn't.
Filler physically occupies space beneath the skin to add volume. Sculptra works in a completely different way, by triggering the skin's own collagen and elastin production and gradually improving the structure and quality of the skin from within.
There is no immediate result - what builds instead is a progressive improvement over weeks and months that looks entirely natural because it is coming from the skin itself.
What surprises people most when I explain it properly is how much it actually does. Beyond restoring lost volume gradually, it improves skin texture, bounce, and luminosity, and reduces pigmentation production.
One treatment, multiple meaningful changes happening at a cellular level. Very few treatments can claim that kind of reach.
If you've been curious about Sculptra but haven't had a proper conversation about whether it's right for you, that's exactly what a consultation is for. Tap the link in bio to find out more 🔗

With aesthetic treatments comes a huge amount of responsibility, and I don’t take that lightly. These aren’t trivial procedures, even when they’re spoken about casually online. They’re medical treatments, and they deserve the same level of care, thought, and integrity as any other area of healthcare.
So if I do say no, it’s with your safety and best interests in mind. It’s important to me that I protect your face, both now and in the future.
My role isn’t to deliver what’s trending. It’s to give honest, evidence-based advice and guide you towards decisions that feel right, considered, and safe 🤍

Years of overuse and poor technique have left people either afraid of filler or convinced it isn't for them.
That's understandable, but it's also meant a versatile, clinically effective treatment getting written off in a lot of people's minds because of what it looks like when things go wrong.
Used properly, filler gives back the structural support the face loses over time, addresses the hollowing that makes people look tired regardless of how much sleep they've had, rebalances the mid-face, and brings the profile back into proportion, all without changing what makes your face yours.
The results that hold up, that look natural and that patients feel confident about, share the same qualities. They're proportionate, they work with the individual's existing features, and they're placed with an understanding of how the face moves and ages beneath the surface.
Good filler is about restoring what was naturally there, so you simply look like you, just fresher and lifted.

Filler isn't the only option for thinning lips, and for a lot of patients, it isn't even the right starting point.
Lips thin over time as the defined border softens, the natural hyaluronic acid content drops, and fine lines form around the mouth. For women in perimenopause and menopause, this accelerates as declining oestrogen directly affects collagen production and skin thickness.
The instinct is usually to add volume, but filling a lip that lacks hydration and surface quality rarely gives the result people are hoping for. The foundation always has to come first.
Skin boosters deliver hyaluronic acid directly into the lip tissue, restoring moisture and improving the quality of the lip itself without changing its shape. Polynucleotides go further still, stimulating the skin's own repair processes to gradually rebuild structural integrity that's been lost over time. Used independently or together, the results often speak for themselves before filler is ever considered.
When filler does make sense, treating skin quality first means it performs better, looks more natural, and requires less product to get there.
If you've been curious about what's possible without going straight to filler, let's have a chat in clinic. Tap the link in my bio to get started 💌

One of the reasons so many people feel confused about aesthetics is because there’s a lot of noise in this industry.
Every day we're told there’s a new treatment we need, a viral routine we should follow, or a quick fix that promises to turn back the clock. The problem is that skin, ageing and facial structure are far more individual than social media would have us believe.
The longer I work in aesthetics, the more convinced I become that good results rarely come from following trends. They come from understanding the face as a whole, knowing when to treat, knowing when not to, and creating plans that are tailored to the person sitting in front of you.
I don't believe in treating one area without considering how it connects to everything else. I don't believe everyone needs the same treatments simply because they're a certain age. And I certainly don't believe that investing in professional treatments can replace the daily habits that keep skin healthy in the first place.
The patients who tend to get the best long-term results aren't usually the ones doing the most. They're the ones who have a clear plan, realistic expectations and a consistent approach to looking after their skin.
If you're looking for a more thoughtful approach to aesthetics and want advice you can trust, I'd love to help. Book your consultation today and let's create a plan that's right for you 💌
