Recovery is going well and I’m being shouted at regularly by Gavin and Niall when they see me hanging out a washing or tidying up. 😂

Thank you all so much for the kind messages, visits, flowers, my blanket and my pocket hug. It means the world.

Can’t wait to be back on my feet properly and in the salon with you all. ✂️

As I’m sure you’ve all heard me complain about a million times, I have struggled with my back for about as long as I’ve owned Slate and despite a previous operation and different types of jags, I’ve never managed to get on top of the pain for any prolonged period.

So I’ve decided to go under the knife again in one last attempt to avoid popping pain killers like Skittles for the rest of my life. 🫣

The surgery date is March 31, I won’t be able to drive until May and best case scenario it’ll be six weeks before I’m back on my feet, and worst case 12 weeks.

My lovely clients will be looked after by the talented Claire and Jaime in my absence and I’ll be in touch before my surgery date to arrange pre-booked appointments with everyone.

Or if it suits you, give the salon a call and we’ll get everything sorted.

After the amount of salon time we’ve already lost this year due to my back, being off again is genuinely the last thing I want and I hugely appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding.

Fingers crossed, this time it works. 🤞

Unfortunately after Kelly’s had her spinal block injection on Friday she’s had a massive flair up all appointments will need to be rescheduled this week.
She’ll have phone transfered tomorrow to make calls to rearrange.

While our wounded stylist Claire is recovering from a snapped achilles, we've welcomed the talented Jaime to the Slate team.

With more than 20 years' salon experience, she'll be making sure clients are looked after on Tuesdays, Thursdays and some Saturdays.

She has limited availability for this Thursday, so if you need an appointment, give us a call to get booked in.

Soo this is our current situation…
My right hand woman is off her feet for 6 weeks 🙈🥲
I’m trying my hardest to do all clients but I’m only one woman 🙈
We hopefully have a new stylist that’s is going to help out.
