NEW APPRENTICESHIP LAUNCH – Level 3 Skills Assessor
 
JET Hairdressing Academy is excited to introduce our new Level 3 Skills Assessor Apprenticeship, designed for qualified hairdressers and barbers who want to support and develop the next generation.
 
This programme is ideal for salon employers looking to develop experienced team members, as well as industry professionals ready to take the next step in their career.
 
Many salons have talented stylists who may have some flexibility in their day and would enjoy mentoring and supporting trainees. This apprenticeship gives them the skills and qualification needed to observe, assess and guide learners in the workplace.

JET FOR MIND SEAFRONT RUN 2026

On Sunday 17th May 2026, we’re heading to Southend seafront for our 5K JET FOR MIND run in support of Basildon Mind. Raising awareness and vital funds for mental health in our community.

Start and finish: Southend Pier (by Adventure Island)
Time: 13:00 – please arrive 30 minutes early for registration
Route: Along Western Esplanade towards Chalkwell, turning at Tides of Chalkwell Café before heading back to complete the 5K loop

You can run it. You can walk it. You can cheer from the sidelines. This event is about coming together, starting conversations and showing up for mental health. There is no pressure on pace, just positive energy and community spirit.
