Olivia (12) went to play cricket for school yesterday and came home with a face like a tomato! 😳😰

I couldn’t believe it. She knows that every day she needs to apply Sun Day spf 50 when she brushes her teeth! 😠☀️

She swears she did apply, so the only thing I can think is she didn’t 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 and that, despite it being very damp initially yesterday morning, she needed to 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲 but didn’t. She was out from 930-200. We also checked the 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐲 which was fine.

This is your reminder from me to:

☀️ insist your kids 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲 sun cream 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 despite it being overcast most of the time

☀️ 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬 (see image in comments)

☀️𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲 at lunchtime if outside for more than a couple of hours

I think yesterday was one of those things that happened and I feel really guilty. However, the redness is settling after applying Sun Soothe last night and it wasn’t as bad as it could have been. Just a really good reminder for me and now for all of you!

Research shows, even one blistering sunburn can contribute to developing skin cancer in older age! Olivia’s wasn’t that bad yesterday, but it could have been.
