Congratulations to our very own Paul Canning and Robin Beattie on winning the Champion of Champions rinks today at Shaws Bridge alongside Jackie Erskine and Rodney McCutcheon of Bangor. No sooner has the outdoor season finished and only a night’s practice on the Shortmat and then this 😄. All four guys play out of Rosemount in Greyabbey. Wee trip to Norway awaits them as they qualify for World Bowls 👏👏👏.

Last Saturday, I played with Bangor 2nd team at home and played against City of Derry (it is name of their club), there was a wee issue with their number of players because they have 14 players, should be 15 players plus 3 subs but ref says we have to play on with what they have and which gave us real joy because we scores nearly every minute until ref decided to finish it half hour early with 60-6, also we aren’t only won because Bangor 1st team won it too against City of Derry with 56-7. Good day for Bangor with double win!
