I often get asked “what qualifications do you need to be an aesthetic practitioner?”

My answer is always… “how long have you got?”

I started I my nursing career in 2015 at the fabulous institute to study BSc Nursing Studies (Learning Disability).

Throughout my three year training programme, I had a wealth of opportunities to learn the techniques to administer various medicines via and .

After my 2300 hours of clinical practice experience and achieving countless competencies, I qualified as a and uphold annual registration with the .

After three years experience practicing, I decided to take the plunge into the fabulous world of . I was fortunate to find a ‘Foundation Botox and Dermal Fillers’ course ran by the lovely ladies at Training Academy🤍

After two full days training learning about the theory and practice of , I received my certificate in Foundation Botox and Dermal Fillers. Since taking a break from aesthetics for a few months, I am receiving some additional mentoring from the lovely ladies at Lanarkshire Aesthetics to refresh my knowledge and skills.

But the crooks of it all is that, nurses and Aesthetic Medical Practitioners never stop learning. We have a legal obligation to maintain a certain amount of ‘Continues Professional Development’ or ‘CPD’.

So after all that, remember this when choosing your aesthetic practitioner. By ensuring you choose a practitioner with a medical background means you are choosing someone who has a wealth of knowledge and experience behind them to safely give you the results you desire. Our faces are one of our most important assets, please ensure that your beautiful face is taken excellent care of.

We noticed that her lips were pretty ‘droopy’ and uneven and had a large, hard bump at one side. We decided to safely dissolve using the existing filler in her lips using and re-build them back to a more desired look on another session.

We are absolutely amazed with the results 😍
