Sad post incoming…

It’s come to the time, where I’ve had to make a super hard decision, and that is to close the doors of Layl’s Nails & Beauty…

This will happen on March 1st, meaning all February appointments will be honoured (I have a couple of spaces if you’re wanting to book in for a last chin wag!) However, I’m absolutely sure this won’t be forever.

This decision has been thought through over quite some time, and most definitely hasn’t come easy. Nails & Beauty has been my life and passion for roughly 7 years now. But sadly I’ve come to a time in my life where I have to think of number one, which doesn’t come naturally to me.

There are several reasons behind this, which I won’t go in to too much detail about, but my health being the main one, followed by my future… and of course, let’s not forget about COVID; which has caused so many small and large businesses so many complications over the past couple of years.

I want to say the biggest thank you to each and every person who supported me and my business over the last few years, you really are amazing and I appreciate each and every one of you. I hope you can all understand this is the step I need to take right now, as much as I hate the thought of letting anybody down.

I can recommend some lovely girls who will happily take on you lovely lot, and I’ll do my best to make sure you don’t have to go without! I have business cards I’ll be handing out over the next month, but please message me if you’d like to contact them sooner.

‼️ APPOINTMENTS ‼️

Please please PLEASE, try your best being on time to your appointment. I understand life happens, but it has a knock on effect to the rest of my clients.

But my main reason for this post is ‘No Shows’ - I can’t get in to words how much this frustrates me, and actually upsets me! It’s the main thing that makes me want to just throw the towel in. It doesn’t take long to send a message, even if it is to cancel/reschedule. But when I don’t hear a thing, I’m sorry, but I can’t tolerate this.

A deposit is paid for security, in case of a last minute cancellation, not for somebody to think ‘ah well, she’s got a tenner for doing nothing’ because actually, I’d prefer to have someone in and be doing my job, than being sat around not earning. I cannot stress to you enough that this is my job, this is my income, this is my LIVELIHOOD. YES I enjoy my job, yes I love my clients, but I do not love people thinking this is just a hobby of mine, because it isn’t.

I hate to be writing this so close to Christmas, but I’ve had to turn clients away because I cannot fit them in my diary.

❤️ Important Post ❤️

I’m really sad having to write this, however, it’s come to the time, I’m having to reduce my days/hours doing Nails & Beauty, due to personal and health reasons. I absolutely love my job, and put my all in to it, however I can’t keep going on how I have been doing. I’m running myself in to the ground.

✨ What does this mean for my clients? ✨
I’d appreciate if you could book your appointments well in advance, to avoid any disappointment. I won’t be doing overtime to get everyone booked in wherever I can, as that’s what’s caused me to be in this position unfortunately. It also means I’ll be stopping regular acrylics, which I’ve explained already to my regular acrylic clients. I’ll still be doing ‘occasion acrylics’ so: bridal nails, holiday nails, birthday nails etc, where I can, but again, notice will be required.

Booking in advance really will be more necessary than usual.
I’ll be busting a gut for the next couple of weeks up to Christmas/New Year, then that’s it… so if you know you’re needing an appointment in the New Year, PLEASE message me ASAP.

A huge thank you to every single one of you who’ve kept me so busy, especially since coming back to work after lockdowns, I’ve been busier than ever, and I appreciate you all! But it’s time for me to look after myself now, so I can carry on looking after you ❤️
