For over 10 years, I’ve been fighting my grey hair. Yesterday, I decided to do the exact opposite.
Root touch-ups. Highlights. More root touch-ups. And that increasingly familiar moment of looking in the mirror and thinking… surely I only had it done two weeks ago?! 😂😂😂
I started going grey relatively young, and for years my only thought was how to cover it up.
Then yesterday, I did something completely different.
Instead of trying to hide the greys, I decided to blend them.
And I genuinely wasn’t sure how I’d feel about it.
Would it make me look older? Would I regret it? Would I immediately ask my colourist to change it back?
But here we are.
49 years old, and after years of fighting my grey hair, I think I might finally be ready to embrace it.
I spend a lot of my time talking about ageing well. About looking good, feeling good and still recognising the person you see in the mirror.
And maybe this is part of that too.
Realising that ageing well doesn’t have to mean fighting every sign of getting older. Sometimes, it’s simply about deciding which things matter to you… and which ones you’re finally ready to let go of.
Although, in the interests of full disclosure, I’m still having all my facial treatments 🤣
If your skincare needs its own suitcase, watch this✈️
Going on holiday doesn’t mean you need to pack your entire bathroom cabinet.
I keep my holiday skincare routine focused on the essentials — products that cleanse, protect and support my skin while I’m spending more time outdoors and being exposed to higher levels of UV.
My holiday skincare essentials?
🧴 A gentle cleanser that cleans the skin without stripping away moisture
🍊 An antioxidant serum, such as vitamin C, in the morning
✨ Then I go in with an anti-pigmentation serum to help prevent further pigmentation, which can become worse with increased UV exposure. Your targeted serum might be different depending on your main skin concern — whether that’s breakouts, redness or sensitivity.
☀️ A broad-spectrum sunscreen that you actually enjoy using every day (and will remember to reapply!)
🌙 At night, I double cleanse to properly remove sunscreen and makeup, then continue with my usual vitamin A product and moisturiser if my skin needs it.
The key is not taking more products but taking the right products for YOUR skin.
And if you’re not sure what your skin actually needs, that’s exactly why I always recommend starting with a proper skin consultation rather than guessing which products to buy.
Save this for when you’re packing for your summer holiday ✈️
And if you’d like help creating a skincare routine that’s tailored to your skin, you can book a skin consultation with me at my Billericay clinic via the link in my bio.

Have you ever heard the term “runner’s face”?
Many women tell me they feel fitter and healthier than ever, yet notice changes in their face that don’t seem to reflect how they feel.
Running itself is rarely the whole story. Collagen loss, menopause, weight loss and facial volume changes can all contribute to the changes many women notice as they move through midlife.
I’ve explored this topic in my latest blog. I hope you find it helpful.
What Every Female Runner Should Know About Facial Ageing - Skin Enhance And Wellness Facial ageing in female runners may be influenced by collagen loss, menopause and weight loss. Learn why these changes occur.

What if I told you running isn’t the whole story?
Many female runners notice facial changes over time and assume running is to blame.
In reality, collagen loss, menopause, weight loss and facial volume changes often play a much bigger role.
I’ve explored the science behind facial ageing in female runners in my latest blog.
Comment WHY and I’ll send you the link.
One thing patients don’t always expect…
You can have treatment one day and feel like it has disappeared the next.
For me, most of the swelling had settled by the following morning, leaving just a little tenderness in the treatment area.
That’s not necessarily everyone’s experience. Recovery and treatment plans vary depending on the areas treated and the amount used.
My treatment was focused on the temple area because that was my area of concern, but someone else’s treatment plan may focus on completely different areas depending on their facial anatomy and goals.
That’s why assessment and treatment planning are such an important part of the process.
