On Sunday we said goodbye to my first baby boy Huey. Huey changed us from a couple to a family and are the reason we found wally and lilly to keep him company and grow out little family. He's been (and always will be ) the such a huge part of our lives. He's the reason we bought started we first bought a campervan, so all our holidays could be with him xx watching him grow older has been an honour and caring for him each day especially through these last hard months has taught me so much. Nothing else matters except π, showing love and receiving love and caring for each other.
I feel very grateful that we could spend the last week doing all his favourite things, simply eating gravy bones and sniffing and snuggling). We visited all his favourite places to collect flowers that would go back into the earth with him so he could smell them all forever xx he died gently In our arms with his brother and sister next to him and we cuddled him and looked afyer his tired little body and gently lay him back in mother earth under a beautiful oak tree that will hold and grow round his gentle little body while his spirit will be with us every second I hope xx
Thank you to everyone that has snuggled him and loved him in he salon. He is the best gentle (sometimes grumpy) little gentlemen you will ever met and we miss him so much xx
Sweet dreams to our best friend. Xx

Our next grief circle is April 5th at calm village. I know a have spoken about the circles and I just wanted to say that the circles are a really gentle space and everything is an invitation and your agency and autony is respected and encouraged at all times. .
The circles begins with a gentle introduction so we all know what to expect and how the evening will flow. This also helps our nervous system relax. We always start with gratitude and what is supporting us and what anchors us to joy or safety. The circles then usually begins with some writing practises, either alone or in pairs, or the option to draw if that supports you more. A space to be heard and share is offered. We will discuss the different types of grief that we can carry, from bereavement , to expectation, to anger at the state of the world and everything in-between. We will then do a practise shared from malidoma soma where we can of we chose to allow grief to be expressed in whatever emotion you are holding, just to add, numbness tears, silence are also valid. This is created in a trauma informed way to respect and care for our own and each others nervous system , grief can feel so different to each person and whatever yourself look and feels like is right for you and very welcome to be shared and witnessed.
As a society we hide our emotions, our pain our tears, sometimes feeling too much, sometimes feeling like we don't want to burden people and sometimes actually not wanting to see it or feel It.
From navigating my own grief, these rituals have been the most supportive for me. This may not feel like it is for you and that's fine , but if you have any curiosity please message and know you are welcome in this space.
Last little note.
This circle isn't somewhere we go to get rid of or dump our grief . We gather to support each other just by being with each other. No one can fix our grief , it isn't something to fix , just something to be allowed to move .
I hope one day we have a big enough community that we can call a grief circle when someone in our community needs it, grief should not be done alone.

We need, I need connection and community (and crochet) So our first crochet circle is weds 4,th, 6 till 8.
I'm planning to keep the circle small , maybe 6 -8 people with the inte tion of reducing overwhelm for anyone (me included ) who prefers gentler quiet spaces .
I have lots of yarn and needles to practise or start projects with. Everyone is also welcome to bring their own things.
With them aim to arrive at 5.45 so we can begin at 6.
Please bring any yarn or any random balls of wool youd like to swap.
There's an optional donation if you feel that is within your budget . I have a few charity jars on the desk , you won't be asked for money but if you'd like to donate please pop it in there xx
We can start with a herbal tea and maybe say if we'd like to do our own thing or a group project and whether we a new to crochet or have experience.
Time for a yarn swap and then we will begin. I'm so looking forward to this xx
Please let me know if you can definitely come so I can reserve places and also if you have to cancel so I can offer the place to someone else xx
A few spaces are already taken but there still a few left , DM if you'd like to come.

I'll never tell you that 'this is a safe space'
I can only tell you what I know I need to feel safe.
Sometimes what don't know what safety feels like until we feel it.
I can PROMISE you that all the things I know I need to feel safe are what I bring into the spaces I hold .
Agency. (An intention or goal)
The ability to make choices and influence what happens , in every space I hold.
Autonomy. (Freedom)
The independence to act and according to your own values without external pressures.
Choice. (Offering as many options as I can )
I offer options for you to choose , knowing that people's needs and people's nervous differ. By offering choice I intend to make the spaces I hold accessible and to encourage choice through your own autonomy and agency .
Confidentiality.
What happens in the spaces I hold , is respected and not shared outside of the space. This also means asking permission before reintroducing something that was shared. Sometimes we don't want to revisit a moment where we have confided in someone. Sometimes it no longer feels relatable or we don't have the capacity to talk about it any more and that should always be respected.
Presence.
Deep listening, without the need to fix or advise.
We don't need to be fixed, just compassionately listening to and witnessed.
My Breath.
I use this to slow down my thoughts, by slowing our breathing , we slow down or brain waves, slowing down our thoughts and allowing us to have choice instead of reacting .
Internal resource.
Sometimes it can be our breath, sometimes noticing how we feel inside if outside can feel chaotic.
External resource.
Sometimes our internal eaorl.can feel chaotic, so focusing outside our body can help pull us back to ventral vagal, our place of connection and safety. Noticing the birds or the feel of the wind, noticing the sky or simply looking at the doors and windows , remaining ourself we have choice and can leave when we need to.
it's taken me most of my life to work this out But I feel so grateful I have found space where I can feel safe and be vulnerable because when we can be vulnerable we can connect.
What would you add to create your circle of safety?

Thinking out loud.....
Would anyone be up for a crochet circle in the salon?
I am by no means a crochet expert but would love to help people get started on their crochet journey.
Insta is full of posts on why crochet is good for mindfulness. But do you know what else is good for mindfulness and our nervous system? Connection.
I want more community and connection. I want our world to move away from the individualistic system that has Been created.
Come join me at 'Threads of connection' commminity crochet circle .
Dates tba
Evenings will be donation based and donated to a charity .
We can collectively vote on which one and eituee bring your own project or we can work towards a project collectively xx

Hello dear ones .
I hope as we approach winter you find feel like little happy bears, keeping warm and cosy and allowing stillness when you find it. Although this time of year, nature is drawing everything in and letting go of any old leaves , returning them to the earth to nourish our roots . Yet our social calenders and todo lists can be of the opposite energy. My wish for you is to listen to what your soul needs and honour that asuch as you can.
I feel very blessed to share that there are only a few spaces left before Christmas but I will be back in January with new opening hours that I hope will accommodate you all and also help create more spaciousness . My circadian rhythm has been out of sink for years and one thing all the studying over the last years has taught me Is that we need routine and balance βοΈ. Focusing on rest , repair connetions and joy . I hope to see you beautiful souls soon either in the salon or through ceromonies and circles or just simply to connect . All my love cat
