✨ Brow Mapping: The Secret Behind Natural-Looking Microblading ✨

Before any microblading begins, I take time to map your brows with precision.
This step is what makes the final result look balanced, soft and built for your face — not a template, not a guess, but a customised design.

✔ Face symmetry
✔ Bone structure
✔ Brow alignment
✔ Natural hair flow
✔ Your personal brow goals

All assessed before I ever pick up a blade.

This is why good microblading never looks “done” — it looks natural.

Microblading used to restore and create long lasting brows. Client was struggling to use pencil due to deteriorating vision and required a lasting solution. We were both thrilled with the results.

What is Microblading?
It's is a tattooing technique which uses a small handheld tool made of several tiny needles to add semi-permanent pigment to the skin.
Here we have used microblading to achieve a natural look, combing hair strokes with some soft shading.

What causes eyebrow loss?

1. HORMONAL IMBALANCE - As you approach and go through menopause, levels of oestrogen and progesterone decline, which can lead to thinning of the hair on the scalp and the eyebrows.

2. STRESS - The type of hair loss most commonly caused by stress is telogen effluvium. We all have hundreds of thousands of hairs on our heads, and not all of them are actively growing all the time. Hairs that are growing are in the ‘anagen’ phase. Hairs that are resting are in the ‘telogen’ phase - this means they have stopped growing but will stay on the head for a few more months before falling out. In people with telogen effluvium, more hairs move from the anagen phase into the telogen phase, meaning you lose more hair than usual.

3. SKIN CONDITIONS - Whilst skin conditions, like psoriasis and eczema, don’t directly cause hair loss, if the condition is around the brow area, there could be inflammation, which, when scratched or picked could cause eyebrow hairs to fall out, albeit temporarily.

4. NUTRITIONAL DEFICIENCIES - Your body requires a healthy balance of carbohydrates, proteins, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals for optimum function . If this isn’t met, you could experience hair loss including eyebrows. The essential nutrients to focus on include vitamins C, E, B-12, D, iron, cysteine, and omega-3 fatty acids.

5. THYROID DISORDERS- Eyebrow loss is often internal, and a thyroid disorder is a common cause. Both overactive and underactive thyroid glands can lead to hair loss, but if you notice the ends of your brows thinning, this is usually a sign of the latter. The thyroid is the gland responsible for regulating our metabolism. When it produces too much or too little of a hormone, your body’s normal processes - including hair growth - can be disrupted.

Eyebrows are a key feature on the face and play a significant role in framing the face. Here we used Microblading with soft shading to restore the appearance of natural looking brows.

Am I too late?
It's never too late to focus on you. Have the brows you've always wanted. Although over plucking can damage hair follicles, it's blamed too often. The same hormonal factors that cause the hair on our heads to thin as we age also cause eyebrow loss. Other health conditions can trigger hair loss in this area too. Semi permanent make up solutions such as Microblading are ideal for achieving fuller looking natural brows and rebuilding self
confidence.
