Last night’s Reiki share was just flipping great, you ever attend a workshop or do a healing and it just shakes you around a bit but in a nice way?

Last night was an empowerment healing and the solar was shown as a cave, inside it were all the child versions of us, hiding and peeping out behind rocks, scared to leave even though the cave wasn’t great, it was just familiar to us. It felt safe even though it’s keeping us small.

Not wanting to be seen, not knowing the impact we have, not knowing how genuinely, utterly special we all are, not knowing that our expansion is what is needed right now for our family, our communities. But mostly for ourselves. For our soul to actually flourish in the vibrancy it needs. Not a dark cave.

Reiki Master certification yesterday for these two absolute lionesses, we had such a fabulous day discussing everything from boundaries, to kittens, to what it means to be feminine (see my last post)

Both of their businesses are based in Coventry and you can find the absolute babe that is Crystal Moon | Healing Sanctuary Coventry holding her first Reiki courses in September! Lienne also provides energy work, massage and specialist loc & Afro hair care.

And the mighty holds weekly mixed ability yoga classes, monthly yoga and group reiki sessions for deep rest and monthly women’s only yoga sessions for intention setting and cyclical living.

Today I sat with two of my students and we discussed what it means to be feminine.

We all agreed, we are not the Instagram running through fields in long skirts and cardigans, swirling round like ballerinas, softly spoken version.

To me the feminine can be whatever the f**k she wants to be, she’s a raging bull, an untamed ocean, she’s passionate about what sets her on fire, she goes after what she wants, she’s the protector, the nurturer, the lover, the fighter, the wise woman and the wild one, all at once.

She can be soft on a Monday and a force of nature by Friday. She can hold a room full of women in circle, then go home and scream at a system that’s failed her / her child. She can cry, rage, rest, and rise all before lunch. She can wear whatever the f**k she wants to, not have children if she doesn’t want to, not get married if she doesn’t believe in it.

The feminine was never meant to be palatable. We are not the version that’s sold to us that we should be. Made small enough to be comfortable and quiet enough to be controlled.

Real feminine energy is messy and powerful. She comes with a filthy laugh and a fierce heart. She nurtures ferociously and protects without apology. She feels everything and she refuses to shrink to make anyone else comfortable.

She’s the still container for herself, because she’s already whole AND the raging ocean all at the same time.

And I like being untamed.
