How should I prepare for my IPL appointment?

You should always trim the area that is receiving the treatment before your appointment, this is due to the laser possibly reacting with the hair on the surface which can lead to irritation. Here's some things you can do to prepare beforehand:

⭐ A clean shave to the area 24 hours before.
⭐ Minimal sun exposure to the area for the 4 weeks prior.
⭐ No fake tanning products applied to the area for the 4 weeks prior.
⭐ Keep the area clean and make-up, lotion & deodorant free.

Before each treatment, you will need to limit your sun exposure! ☀️

In fact, if you have had sun exposure within 72 hours of your treatment you cannot receive the treatment! You can become much more sensitive to heat (from sun exposure) without even knowing it!

If you were out in the sun 72 hours before your IPL treatment you would run the risk of scarring, burning or seriously damaging your skin. It is because of this we would not be able to perform your IPL treatment if you had sun exposure in the last 72 hours.
