Some skins love a rich balm. Others prefer a light cream. Some need the comfort of a lotion, while others ask for as little as possible.

Skin is wonderfully individual. It changes with the seasons, with age, with hormones, with stress, and with conditions such as eczema or psoriasis. What feels nourishing to one person may feel completely different to another.

That’s why we make a range of textures by hand. Thick, silky, buttery, creamy, light. Not because one is better than another, but because every skin has its own story.

Sometimes the most important thing isn’t finding the “best” skincare. It’s finding what your own skin feels at home with.

If you’re not sure where to begin, we’re always happy to help. Whether you’re looking for a gentle cleanser, a nourishing moisturiser, something for sensitive skin, or simply don’t know what your skin needs, come and chat with us in the shop. Just another lovely day at harvest 🤎

There was a huge basket of freshly cut lavender waiting by my front door this morning.

No note. Just a thoughtful gift from someone’s garden.
It’s one of those quiet moments that always makes me smile. Throughout the summer, people leave flowers and herbs from their gardens for us – lavender, fennel, sweet peas, oregano, marigolds… each one a small act of kindness.

The scent from this basket was instantly familiar. It was the very same soft, herbal aroma that fills the shop whenever we burn our Dried Lavender Candle. The fragrance begins here, in armfuls of freshly cut stems, gathered from local gardens before slowly drying and filling the air with that unmistakable scent of summer.

Some of these flowers become part of our displays, some are dried for our gift wrapping and seasonal making, and their spirit quietly finds its way to us.

Thank you to everyone who shares a little of their garden with us. It’s one of the loveliest parts of what we do.🪴

Everywhere you turn there are bottles filled with lemon balm, mint, sage, oregano, fennel and verbena, all picked fresh from the garden and tucked into little corners around the shop. It’s one of those moments in the year when the seasons quietly find their way indoors.

Our gift wrapping has become something really special too. So many of you have been bringing us cuttings from your own gardens…….lavender, herbs and flowers that dry beautifully. We wrap your gifts with them, so every parcel carries a little piece of our community. Thank you for sharing your gardens with us.

This week, someone also left the sweetest message in our harvest book, it was one of those lovely reminders of why we do what we do.

If you’re passing this weekend, come in and spend a little while with us. The shop is cool, it smells beautiful, the shelves are full of freshly made batches of our handmade soaps, including our new Geranium bar.
Our new Jojoba Skin Support and Foot Soak have arrived, and the treatment room is ready for those of you who have booked in this weekend for your quiet hour .

One of our favourite traditions of the year. 🌿

Around this time each summer, little feet start wandering through the shop, carefully searching for the perfect gift for a teacher.

Some choose a bath bomb because “she’s just had a new bath.” Others pick a hand balm because “his hands are always dry.” Some spend ages smelling candles and incense, trying to decide what their teacher would love most.

It’s never just about buying a gift.

It’s about taking time to think about someone who has helped them grow.

Once they’ve chosen, they pick one of our hand-painted cards, write their own message, and we wrap everything by hand with herbs and flowers.

Watching children choose with such thought and kindness is one of the loveliest parts of summer at harvest .

Summer skin notes ☀️

When the days are warmer, your skin often needs less than you think. Keep your routine simple, stay hydrated, and try popping your herbal or floral toner in the fridge for a cooling spritz throughout the day. Apply your oils or moisturiser onto slightly damp skin to help lock in hydration, and resist the urge to over-cleanse just because you’re warm. Sometimes the kindest thing you can do for your skin is slow down, keep it balanced, and let it breathe:)

We hear it all the time…

“I’m just buying a gift for my other half.”

Five minutes later they’re leaving with a charcoal soap, beard oil, face cream and asking about booking themselves in for a massage.

The truth is, plenty of the men who walk through our door end up becoming some of our biggest fans. From skincare and shaving essentials to treatment vouchers and travel sets, these are products made to be used, enjoyed and reached for every day.
