The cold weather outside, contrasting with central heating, takes its toll on all hair types and often leads to split ends, breakage, and a dehydrated scalp. The lack of vitamin D in the winter months can lead to stunted hair growth and even hair loss.

Central heating can have an impact on your hair. The warm dry air can cause your hair to dry out and become brittle. It can even lead to a dry and itchy scalp due to the loss of moisture in the air. I recommend using a deep conditioning treatment or mask once or twice a week.

Using oil to nourish the ends can add shine and lock in moisture, you can even use your oil as an overnight mask.

Throughout December we have On The Day Blowdrys for £15 so why not add a treatment onto your blowdry appointment or any other services you already have booked.

The colder months wreak havoc on our hair. Often it is shoved into a bun to avoid getting rain drenched, which isn’t ideal for the hair.

wearing your hair up can cause breakage, as with pulling a hat on and off, this repetitive action can cause friction breakage.

I am a senior stylist at Anthony John Salons
I started here may 2019, started as an apprentice with in salon intense training, working my way up to the stylist team and now on the senior team.
I don’t specialise in any services in particular, I offer ALL services but I love getting creative with colours.. balayages have a special place in my heart 🤭
