Last summer, I spent most of it indoors.

I avoided photos.
I avoided days out.
I kept telling myself I’d enjoy summer when I’d lost more weight, felt more confident or looked better.

Then it hit me…
I don’t need to be a certain size to deserve a beautiful summer.

My children don’t care what size I am or about the number on the scales.
They care that I’m there.
They care that I say yes.
They care about the memories we make together.

So this summer, I’m choosing differently.

I’m saying yes to the photos.
Yes to the days out.
Yes to the opportunities.
Yes to making memories.

Because we’ll never get this summer back.

Always a bittersweet month for me, but this year felt incredibly beautiful too.

A month of saying yes to opportunities, meeting lovely people, making memories, pushing myself out of my comfort zone and realising that the things I used to dream about are slowly becoming my reality.

There was plenty of hard days too but that’s life. You take the hard days with the good ones, and somehow they make you appreciate the good so much more 🥰
