A little personal update 🤍

I’ve been putting off writing this because, if you know me, you’ll know I’m not very good at slowing down!

As most of you know, I’m currently pregnant and over the last few weeks I’ve been experiencing some pregnancy-related health concerns which have resulted in hospital visits, extra monitoring and medical advice to significantly reduce the amount of time I’m spending on my feet.

Anyone who knows me knows I usually just push through and keep going, but after recent appointments and conversations with healthcare professionals, I’ve had to accept that I need to start listening to my body.

I work very long hours and spend most of my day standing, and I’ve been advised that continuing at this pace isn’t in the best interests of either myself or baby. With several months of pregnancy still to go, I’ve made the difficult decision to reduce my working hours and client load before I finish for maternity leave in September.

This hasn’t been an easy decision. I absolutely love my job and I hate the thought of letting anybody down, but right now my priority has to be my health and my baby, and following the advice I’ve been given.

With that in mind, if any of my lovely clients would be happy to temporarily move over to another stylist within the salon until I go on maternity leave, I would be incredibly grateful. I can promise you’ll be in amazing hands and I’ll make any transition as smooth as possible.

Thank you all so much for your support, understanding and kindness. Running a business whilst growing a tiny human is no joke, and I truly appreciate every single one of you.
