A brighter blonde, built with intention.

Most blonding services aren’t defined by one big decision. They’re shaped by hundreds of smaller ones throughout the appointment.

How much brightness to create. Where to leave depth. How to keep the result soft while still achieving impact.

It’s those details that influence the finished result and how the colour grows out over time.

This blonde was created with careful placement, seamless blending, and a focus on creating brightness without losing softness.

What detail do you pay the most attention to during a blonding service?

A few moments from recent classes.

One thing I never take for granted is that people choose to spend their time, money, and trust learning with me.

Whether it’s a stylist travelling across the country or someone attending their very first education event, I know there are expectations attached to that decision.

My goal has never been to simply show a technique.

It’s to help stylists understand the thinking behind the decisions, ask questions freely, and leave feeling more confident in their own work.

This message landed in my inbox after class, and it meant a lot.

Thank you to everyone who has attended a class, supported my education, shared a post, or trusted me with a seat in the room. 🤍

Not every transformation needs more blonde.

Sometimes the biggest shift comes from creating better balance throughout the hair.

A softer, more intentional finish with depth where it’s needed and brightness where it has the most impact.

Creating a lived-in result isn’t always about adding more lightness. Often it’s about placing depth deliberately, softening contrast, and building a colour that feels more balanced from root to end.

Soft brunette tones.
Depth, dimension and an expensive finish.

Most blondes aren’t made by a formula.

They’re made by hundreds of small decisions throughout the appointment.

Which sections need brightness.
Which sections need softness.
When to push.
When to hold back.
When to leave something alone.

The finished result is only a reflection of those decisions.

A few moments from my hair education class.

A day spent discussing consultation, placement, formulation, adjustments, finishing, and the thinking behind every decision along the way.

The conversations, questions, and shared learning are always my favourite part.

Next class: 9 August.

Every detail has a purpose.

A bright blonde bob doesn’t happen because of one formula.

Placement, foil choice, natural depth, brightness through the hairline, root transition, tone and shape all work together.

The result should feel effortless.

The decisions behind it rarely are.

THE DIFFERENCE SOFTNESS MAKES IN BLONDE WORK

Second session working towards a softer, brighter blonde result.

Detailed clean weaves, controlled brightness and selective tip-outs helped create a blonde that still feels soft, seamless and lived in, while keeping enough depth throughout the hair for balance and longevity.

Inside the Manchester class, I’ll be teaching the placement decisions and blonding thought process behind results like this in real time.

Creamy blonding with softness and detail

Soft warmth, controlled brightness, and detail underneath the result give this blonde its softness and dimension

Depth through the right areas, pair with details foil work then adding a subtle flash of extra brightness, adds a little more drama while keeping the finish soft and elegant.

Finished with classic styling for bounce and body

I’ll be covering this approach in my next in-person blonding class on 9th August in Manchester.

If you’re a hairstylist looking to build more confidence with blondes, softness, depth, and longer-lasting results, plus much more, tickets are in the link in bio or on the website Nicolawelshhair.co.uk
