The Goddess Within: An International Women’s Day Tribute
To the goddesses who walk among us,

Today isn’t just a date on the calendar; it’s a celebration of a legacy that spans centuries. For as long as history has been written—and long before that—women have been the architects of society, the keepers of wisdom, and the heartbeat of every home and empire.

We often look back at the statues of ancient goddesses and admire their poise, but the truth is, that same divinity is alive in you right now. It’s in the way you lead, the way you nurture, and the way you rise after every challenge. For centuries, women have been nothing short of miraculous. We have balanced strength with softness, and brilliance with grace.

At Aphrodite’s Beauty Lodge, we see this every single day.

To us, “beauty” isn’t a standard to meet—it’s a ritual of honoring the temple you live in. When you lay on my beauty couch, you aren’t just getting a treatment; you are taking a moment to recognize your own worth. Whether it’s the sparkle in your eyes or the crown you wear (even if it’s invisible), you deserve to be celebrated.

Today, we honor:

💛The resilience of our ancestors.

💛The power of our modern-day leaders.

💛The beauty of the woman looking back at you in the mirror.

You are art. You are history. You are a goddess. 👏🏼

Happy International Women’s Day!

Aphrodite’s Beauty Turns 12!!! 🥂🍾

As these years just fly on by, I have to take a minute to sit and think about how far my little business has actually come. I still remember the days I would have around 1 maybe 2 clients a day/week. Before that I had been working for other people including my travels to Australia where I worked in several day spas and clinics.

Beauty has been in my blood sine I was a young child and as soon as I left school I went to college to study it. I’ve never looked back. I’m still so passionate about my work and my clients all know this and feel this.

I want to thank all my wonderful clients past and present for supporting on my journey. I appreciate you all so much. Thank you for spreading the love and recommending me to your friends which in turn keeps my business flowing.

I also want to thank Abi from 12 years ago, for having the courage to break away from working the grind for someone else and putting her all in to creating Aphrodites Beauty. It’s also nearly been 5 years since Aphrodites Beauty Lodge opened its doors for the first time, a private place where clients can come and feel relaxed and looked after. 💆🏻‍♀️

Cheers to 12 Years 🥂🍾

Seventy Hyal
The perfect way to boost skin hydration and soften signs of ageing.

What is Seventy Hyal?
Seventy Hyal Skin Booster is an injectable treatment that aims to improve the overall appearance and quality of the skin. It offers a multitude of benefits, from hydration and radiance, to reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Unlike dermal fillers, skin boosters do not add extra volume to the face, although the complexion may appear smoother and firmer as a result of adding deep hydration below the skin’s surface.

Seventy Hyal benefits
Seventy Hyal is primarily formulated to deliver deep and long-lasting hydration, however there are a host of other benefits. Let’s take a look at some of the skin concerns that this treatment can target:

– Improve Skin Laxity
– Reduce Dryness
– Improve Roughness or uneven texture
– Soften Fine lines and wrinkles
– Reduce Dullness
– Soften Dark circles

Alongside these skin concerns, Seventy Hyal bio-stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, helping to improve firmness and overall skin quality over time.

How does Seventy Hyal work?
Seventy Hyal Skin Booster Treatment treats the physiological depletion of Hyaluronic Acid within the skin via the infiltration of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) back into the skin’s dermis. This bio-stimulates the skin to produce more collagen and elastin too. This skin booster acts as the perfect skin rejuvenation treatment to improve skin texture and skin laxity whilst adding gentle volume.

Best Protection Boosting Antioxidants

Antioxidants neutralise the free radicals (unstable molecules that cause damage to DNA and break down collagen) that are produced when your skin is exposed to UV radiation & pollution.

Research suggests that the addition of antioxidants into sunscreens can reduce free radical production by up to 78%.

3 Antioxidants that are particularly good at boosting sun-protection are:

🌿Niacinamide
🌿Vitamin C (especially when combined with vitamin E & ferulic acid)
🌿Green Tea (especially when combined with caffeine)

You can usually find sunscreens that contain these ingredients but it’s usually more effective to combine them separately (e.g. using an antioxidant serum under your sunscreen).

All 3 antioxidants are suitable for all skin types/conditions, but some may offer additional benefits:
🌿Acne - Niacinamide, Green Tea
🌿Hyperpigmentation - Vitamin C, Niacinamide
🌿Rosacea - Green Tea, Niacinamide
🌿Dry Skin - Niacinamide
🌿Oily Skin - Niacinamide, Green Tea
🌿Combination Skin - Niacinamide
🌿Aged - Vitamin C

What’s your favorite antioxidant?⤵

Skincare Order Of Application

If you’re just starting out and are unsure what order you should be applying your skincare products in, a general rule of thumb is to apply THINNEST to THICKEST.

🌿Cleanser - the first step of any skincare routine and particularly important in the evening to remove all the oil, sunscreen, dirt and bacteria that have built up on your skin during the day. I always recommend using a micellarwater or balm to remove make up first. Then a cleanser to clean the skin.

🌿Exfoliant - If you’re using an exfoliating scrub or acid, it should go after your cleanser and should only be used 1-3x per week

🌿Toner (Optional) - while not essential, toners are a great way to add in active ingredients and may help your other products work more effectively.

🌿Spot Treatment (Optional) - if you’re using spot treatments, particularly prescription treatments like topical antibiotics, they should be applied after cleansing and toning and before your other products.

🌿Serums - most serums are water-based but some may be oil-based, if using both types, the water-based serum(s) should be applied first. While they’re not an essential part of your routine, they contain useful ingredients like antioxidants - particularly vitamin C and retinol.

🌿Eye Cream (Optional) - if you have sensitive skin or are looking to treat concerns specific to the eye area (e.g. dark marks and puffiness) then eye creams can be a useful addition to your routine. However, a lot of moisturizers and other skincare products are fine to use around the delicate eye area if treating as a whole.

🌿Moisturiser - your moisturiser helps lock in all your other skincare products and should be applied towards the end of your routine.

🌿Facial Oils (Optional): facial oils can take longer to pe*****te your skin and are better suited to nighttime use where they would be the final step of your routine.

🌿Sunscreen - the most essential part of any skincare routine, your sunscreen should be applied as the last step in your AM routine before you apply any make-up. Please don’t rely on sunscreen in make up alone.
