Brightened up… without losing the depth 🤍

We kept her natural root area soft and dimensional while lifting the mids & ends to a creamy, brighter blonde. The goal was expensive looking colour that still feels low maintenance when it grows out ✨

Just strategic colour placement making the hair look healthier, brighter and more polished instantly.

EQ vs ALK… what’s actually the difference? 👀

Both are demi-permanent colours, but they work very differently depending on your hair goals.

✨ Shades EQ• Acidic formula• Super sheer + glossy• Perfect for toning, refreshing blondes & adding shine• Helps rebalance the hair’s pH after lightening• Zero lift = gentle on the hair

Think: soft, expensive-looking colour with lots of shine.

✨ Shades ALK• Alkaline demi formula• Slightly more coverage• Better for grey blending, deeper toning & richer results• Gives a little more “grab” on resistant hair

Think: more depth, longevity & coverage while still keeping the hair healthy and glossy.

Neither is “better” — it completely depends on the result we’re trying to create 🤍

Predicting this will be the tone of summer 2026 ☀️

The before and after shot 📸

This was all about creating a softer, more seamless blonde that still feels bright and impactful, without the commitment of heavy root maintenance.

A diffused root blend, delicate brightness around the face and creamy blonde through the lengths for that effortless “natural but better” finish 🤍

The goal?
Beautiful grow out, soft dimension and a blonde that still looks good weeks/months later.

Perfect for clients who want brightness without feeling overly highlighted.

Beige bronde but make it expensive ✨

Soft ribbons of brightness, a seamless root blend and that creamy beige tone that grows out beautifully.
The perfect middle ground for brunettes wanting to feel lighter without the maintenance of being fully blonde.

Low maintenance, high impact — exactly how I like my balayage 🤍

Is the lived-in blonde era ending…?” 👀✨

Lately I’m seeing a big shift online.
Less shadow roots, more brightness from the root area again. Think softer highlight blends, cleaner blonde, brighter but blended face frames and that ultra fresh finish.

And honestly… I think I’m enjoying the switch up 🤍

This kind of blonde still feels seamless and wearable, but with a little more impact. Brighter, fresher, more “done” for summer, without losing softness.

I have a feeling this summer is going to be all about:
✨ cleaner blondes
✨ brighter roots
✨ luxury shine
✨ soft dimension over heavy contrast

Are we moving away from super lived-in colour… or just evolving it? 👀
