The consultation part 1...
One of the biggest misconceptions about removing dark colour is that blonde appears instantly. In reality, dark artificial pigment has to be lifted carefully, often revealing lots of red, orange and gold tones along the way.
By lifting strategically, protecting the hair’s condition, and choosing the right tonal balance, we were able to transform heavy, dark colour into a beautiful dimensional bronde that feels brighter, softer and far more natural.

My client wanted a softer, lived-in look while also disguising her regrowth and blending those greys seamlessly.
To keep that balayage feel, I added depth through the back using Redken Shades EQ Alk 6NB & 8N as a lowlight, then brightened around the face frame with the new Redken IQ Lightener and inbetween shades alk 9n to create that pop of brightness where it matters most.
Finished with shades Eq
Root shadow: 7NB + 7NA
Global gloss: 10GI + 10VG + 10NP
The result? Beautiful dimension, a softer grow-out, blended greys, and a bright face frame that still feels like her.
