My name is Laura I’m 29 years old and am the owner of Tranquil Touch Therapies which I run out of Brackley Leisure Centre I have two treatment rooms and this is my 9th year in business this year! 🤍

What do I offer?

I’ve been a L5 Clinical Reflexologist for 9 years

A L3 Sports Massage Therapist for 6 years

And now a L3 Mat Pilates & Pre and Post Natal Pilates instructor which I qualified in last year! 🙏

I also offer Indian head massage, Lava Shell Massage and Holistic Facials & K-Taping. It’s safe to say over the 9 years I’ve tried to evolve and invest in my CPD and qualifications which is so important when choosing a therapist.

Happy New Year everyone! ✨

I’m pleased to announce some really BIG NEWS for me and my business ✨

I’ve been working really hard the past 7 months behind the scenes & I can now tell you all I’ve qualified as a Level 3 Mat Pilates Instructor. 🧘‍♀️✨

I discovered Pilates earlier this year after being diagnosed with a type of migraines caused by exertion. My body was crying out for some support with my posture from massaging all day. I decided then that this was going to be the next step for me not only for my own health but supporting my clients too. I’ve always been super active in the gym strength training & I used to be a ballet dancer which I missed so much. I decided to start going to Mat Pilates and Reformer Pilates this year and now is regular practice in my weekly routine & my migraines have thankfully become less frequent and more manageable and I fell in love with practicing Pilates which led me onto this venture.

Don’t worry my business is still running completely as normal but in the background I am setting things up for the future. 🚀 I am now moving on to learning pre and postnatal Pilates, so my training is still full on at the moment.

For now I can offer 1:1 Mat Pilates sessions and online programmes whilst I set up group classes in the background. Please send me a message if you’re interested & want to know more. 🤍

A great CPD day today taking new information on seeing where the health and wellness industry is heading what the current trends are and trying out some exciting new equipment that I now want 👀😂

Interesting talks on back pain, tendinitis, business plans, new K tape to try out and new massage gels and balms - woo!

8 years in business 🎈🍾🥂

Wooooow. Where to start? Today marks 8 years of business at Tranquil Touch Therapies, I’m so proud of what my little business has achieved that started with a spider diagram of potential names for the business whilst watching a film in my old bedroom at my parents house and thinking ok then let’s do this! With ZERO idea of how to run a business off I went!

At now 28, I look back often and think wow I was very naive at 20 taking this on 🤣 but here we are! Stronger than ever, constantly evolving. People often ask me why I haven’t expanded my business to take other therapists on or hire someone but the truth is I’m happy, I’m happy that it’s just me - it’s my baby! All I ever dreamt was is having a full diary and being my own boss - I’ll never rule anything out but for now this is where Ive always saw myself. However I am training currently in something completely brand new and different for the business which will all be revealed soon… 👀

Genuine blood sweat, tears and everything in between has happened over the last 8 years, I’ve learnt a lot - things that work and things that don’t.
Running a business is hard, but the best thing ever. How lucky am I that I come into work everyday to do something I love?!

Thank you to every single client that’s stepped through my door, shared their highs and lows with me, and the clients that regularly come back - without you lot the business wouldn’t be! 🥰
