Running a business is one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.

Being a mum is the most important thing I’ll ever do.

The difficult part is trying to be both at the same time.

When I’m working, I wonder if I should be spending more time with my daughter.

When I’m with my daughter, my mind sometimes drifts to clients, emails, deadlines and everything waiting for me when I get back.
It’s a constant balancing act, and I know so many business owners and working parents will understand exactly what I mean.

Next week I’m taking some much-needed annual leave to make memories with my little girl before returning throughout August. Then I’ll be taking another two weeks off in September.

The business will still be there.
These little years won’t.
