Wow! What an incredible day, never have I ran with a crowd like the London Marathon.

It almost felt like a 26.2 mile street party, shoutout to every single person that came out to support every person running the London marathon.

For the first time since I started running, I had to hold back tears as I crossed the finish line.

I’d been wanting to run the London marathon for over 10 years and never seemed to get a place so this one was a big deal for me personally and it didn’t disappoint.

A marathon fully pushes you to your limits and you have no choice but to dig deep, even when you feel like you’ve given it your all.

The last 5/6k I had, had enough, up until I saw a man running with a blind lady holding onto his arm.

That right there inspired me to dig deep, appreciate the fact that I’m here and able to do this as well as appreciate everything in life we take for granted and one foot after the other jog that last 5/6k non stop all the way through to the finish line.

To be selected as a judge for the 2026 truly means the world to me. It’s something I couldn’t have imagined all those years ago, back in Feb 2000, when I first picked up my tools and began this journey.

This industry has given me so much over the past 26 years, growth, challenges, creativity, and purpose. As both a barber and an educator, I’ve witnessed trends rise and fall, styles evolve, and standards shift but one thing has always remained the same, the difference between a good haircut and a great one and this lies in the passion, precision, and pride behind it.

This is an incredible opportunity for barbers across West Yorkshire and beyond to step forward, showcase their craft, and gain the recognition they truly deserve for the time, dedication, and hard work they pour into every cut.

I’m genuinely looking forward to reading your personal stories, your journeys, your struggles, your wins, and seeing the work that represents who you are as artists.
