In action at the “Slow and Gentle” retreat hosted by and in Sussex this weekend… a grounding and restorative experience even for the massage therapist

As we now enter February and with all the new experiences I have been embarking on so far this year I wanted to take this time to also reflect. To provide some context I have very intentionally decided to take this time to do “all the things I’ve always talked about doing” that may be a little ambitious but at the heart of this decision is to begin to find connections between the things I love and hopefully a more fruitful way of living. As such I want to take this moment to also begin to reflect and make connections to my prior experiences, projects etc. Borrowing the notion of “loose associations” first introduced to me through a lecture series by @ryanjgander these connections may at times seem tenuous but will hopefully be useful in revealing some of the recurring themes… I hope you enjoy the meandering journey 🤍 To start I want to make initial connection to my current experience cooking @thegingermanrestaurant and a recent(ish) trip I took to Canada/USA Sept-Oct 2023 to begin looking more closely at my ancestry and its relationships to land, food, growing, preservation, homesteading, immigration to name a few.
