It’s so important you feel like yourself on your wedding day. You don’t want to walk down the aisle feeling uncomfortable. Some people will want a dress with a full skirt and big train whilst others will opt for more fitted or slinky dresses. The same goes for your wedding makeup.

For some brides the more natural the better whilst others will love a dramatic smokey eye or classic red lip. The most important thing is that it’s what you want and it makes you feel amazing. Chat to your makeup artist (whether in person or virtually!) about what you like, what your normal makeup routine is and what wedding style you’re going for.

Hope everyone’s had a lovely Saturday despite the rain. Anyone had their hair cut? I’m getting mine done on a Wednesday and I can’t wait!

Flowers bring so much happiness. Choosing your wedding florist is so exciting - the flowers are such an important part of your day. I knew even before getting engaged I wanted Lisa from to do my flowers. Her shop in Clifton village is beautiful and during our initial consultation she understood exactly what I wanted. She also gave me great advice about the size of my bouquet to ensure it didn’t overwhelm my frame. On my wedding day I was welcomed with a hug from Lisa and I didn’t have to worry about anything. She took care of it all. Now four years on Lisa is still our family go to for flowers.

So any Bristol based brides to be pop into Lisa’s shop to see the wonderful blooms. Plus you can then head over to for a delicious takeaway macaron! Or visit for a drink on the terrace.

After the heat of last week I’ve resorted to putting the heating back on again! I just hate being cold!

M O N D A Y M A K E U P

Whilst we sadly can’t get back to applying makeup on brides just yet that hasn’t stopped me from doing my own make up.

I know a lot of people have used this lockdown to go makeup free but as my post says ‘My makeup makes me happy!’ Applying makeup in the morning sets me up and makes me feel ready for the day. I even get up earlier than my children to just have a few quiet minutes at my dressing table before the chaos starts!

So when we can get back to trails and weddings I can’t wait to make brides feel their happiest and most beautiful.

N E W M A K E U P

I love it when new makeup arrives! I have to admit I’m a little addicted to and used many of her products on my own wedding day. So I couldn’t resist ordering a few new pieces for my kit and they’re lovely!
