Tomorrow, we commence on week 2 (of a possible 3 week stay) of our stay at Royal Childrens Manchester Hospital, and today I was honoured to go into the Ronald Mcdonald house This charity offers free stays for parents of children who are staying in hospital and also day passes if you are sleeping at the hospital.

I am blown away by the amazing free facilities they provide

Washing machine / tumble drier
Full shower room with hair driers, etc
Full kitchen with a pantry of free foods / breakfast bars / pastries/ tea / coffee
Children's Garden
Play area

The staff are so friendly, and it's a welcome break for kids and parents who are sitting in hospital rooms for days / weeks / months on end.

I also can't praise the nurses / health care assistants / cleaners / catering staff at Manchester Royal. They have all been so amazing to Hope and I. They absolutely go above and beyond for all the children on this ward.

Micheal, who serves our food every day, makes the children laugh, gets them anything he can to make them happy. The nurses are on the ward playing with younger kids to give parents a break.

Everyone here works endlessly with a smile on their face. Some of these workers are not far off minimum wage ! All of which go above and beyond!

Every healing journey is slightly different, but patience is key — the final result will continue to improve as the skin fully repairs. Leaving little evidence that the mole ever existed 🙌

My client used to shave EVERY day ! When she first started, she had full facial hair on her chin / neck and cheeks !

No fragranced products on the treatment area for 48 hours ✔️

No touching or picking ✔️

Keep the area clean ✔️

Apply Aloe Vera or Witch Hazel gel with a Q tip, not the finger ✔️

No sunbeds / saunas for 48 hours (at least) ✔️

Use an SPF 50 on the face, no direct sunlight ✔️

Keep hydrated, critical for healing ✔️
