Got a mole you're concerned about? It's now easier than ever to get it checked!

Summer is when skin gets the most exposure and the most attention, so it tends to be the time of year people start noticing things they hadn't paid much mind to before. A mole that looks different to how it did last year, one that's changed shape or colour, something new that's appeared, or a patch of skin that simply doesn't feel right. The honest answer to when you should get something checked is as soon as it crosses your mind, because the vast majority of what we see turns out to be completely harmless, and the reassurance alone is worth it. For the small number of cases where it isn't, early is everything.

That's why we've partnered with the DermoSight platform, giving our clients access to specialist dermatology assessment without the long wait that usually comes with it. Your mole, lesion or skin concern is imaged, reviewed and analysed by a dermatologist, and we aim to have your report back with you within seven days.

If something has been on your mind, don't wait for it to change further. Comment MOLE or send us a DM and we'll talk you through how the service works, or head to the link in our bio to book your screening đź’Ś

Skin laxity is one of the most common concerns I see in clinic, and also one of the most misunderstood, because what actually works depends entirely on what's causing it and how far it's progressed.

The approach needed for mild softening of the jawline is completely different from what's needed for more significant structural change, and getting that wrong is one of the most common reasons people feel like their treatments haven't delivered. For so many of my patients going through perimenopause and menopause, oestrogen decline accelerates that loss of firmness quite suddenly, which is exactly why this conversation comes up so often.

Treatments like Profhilo Structura, HArmonyCa, and polynucleotides can make a real difference for the right kind of laxity, but results take time to develop properly and understanding that from the outset is everything.
Swipe through for the full breakdown of what's actually driving your skin laxity and what we can realistically do about it 👉🏼

If you've been trying to shift a stubborn patch of pigmentation with skincare alone and feel like you're getting nowhere, this is the kind of result that makes the case for in-clinic treatment far better than I ever could.

After a course of IllumiFacial treatments, that patch has significantly cleared, the redness has calmed, and the skin tone looks so much more even and balanced across the whole area.

The IllumiFacial combines IPL technology with a bespoke facial to target pigmentation, redness, and skin quality in a single session.

The IPL works by targeting melanin clustered beneath the skin's surface, breaking it down so the body can naturally clear it over the following weeks, while the facial element supports hydration and overall skin health.

This is exactly why pigmentation that's already established in the skin often needs more than skincare to shift it properly. Brightening serums and vitamin C are brilliant for prevention and maintenance, but once melanin has clustered at this level, you need something that works deeper to clear it.

We'd always pair a course of treatment like this with the right homecare to protect the results and keep new pigmentation from forming, because what you do at home matters just as much as what we achieve in clinic.

After years of working in aesthetics, I've seen every treatment trend come and go, and I've formed some very clear opinions about what actually works and what doesn't.

So if I were sitting in the patient's chair myself, dealing with deepening lines and wrinkles as my main concern, I know exactly what I'd do, and it isn't necessarily what most people assume.

The first step would always be understanding what's actually causing the lines in the first place, because dynamic lines, static lines, and crepey texture all need a completely different approach.

From there, I'd build a plan that addresses muscle movement where needed, rebuilds collagen from within using treatments like Profhilo, polynucleotides, or HarmonyCa, improves surface texture with SkinPen microneedling, and gets the skincare working as hard as possible with a proper skincare regimen.

Most importantly, I'd take it slowly. The patients I see with the best long-term results are always the ones who've approached their skin as a gradual, considered investment rather than trying to fix everything in one appointment.

POV: You booked polynucleotides under your eyes and now 👇

✨ The hollowness you’d been staring at for years has disappeared, and you didn’t need filler to get there.

✨ People keep asking if you’ve been sleeping better, which is exactly the kind of comment you were hoping for.

✨ The crepiness and fine lines that no eye cream ever touched have genuinely improved, because you’re finally treating the skin quality rather than just moisturising the surface.

✨ You’re leaving the house without concealer for the first time in longer than you can remember.

✨ You understand why a course of treatments was recommended rather than one session, because the improvement has kept building in a way you didn’t expect.

✨ You’re already booked in for your next session.

Polynucleotides work by stimulating your own collagen and elastin production in the under-eye area, improving skin quality, hydration, and firmness from within over time. For the right candidate, the results are some of the most natural-looking in aesthetics.

If you’d like to find out whether polynucleotides are the right treatment for your under-eye concerns, head to the link in my bio to book a consultation 💌

The eye area is one of the first places to show the signs of ageing, and for so many of my patients, it's also the concern that feels hardest to address without considering surgery.

Non-surgical options have come a long way, and for the right patient, the results can be impressive without any downtime, general anaesthetic, or permanent commitment.

The skin around the eyes is the thinnest on the entire face, which means it's particularly vulnerable to collagen loss, dehydration, and repeated movement, and from our late 30s onwards, declining oestrogen and sun exposure accelerate all of those changes noticeably.

This is why this area ages the way it does, the treatments I reach for most, and how the right skincare supports everything we do in clinic ➡️

The noise around what women over 40 should be doing for their skin is overwhelming, and most of it either oversimplifies what’s actually happening or skips the most important parts entirely. So here’s my honest take after years of treating this age group daily.

Here’s what I actually see making a difference:

✨ Getting the skincare foundations right first. Obagi Medical is what I prescribe for the majority of my patients in this age group because it works at a cellular level in a way high street alternatives simply can’t. Retinol, vitamin C, and daily SPF used consistently are non-negotiable.

✨ Understanding that it’s not just ageing, it’s hormonal. The oestrogen decline that comes with perimenopause and menopause directly affects collagen, hydration, and skin thickness, and once you understand that, the whole treatment approach changes.

✨ Addressing volume loss before lines. The thing ageing most women in their 40s isn’t lines, it’s the loss of structure and support underneath. Treatments like HArmonyCa, Profhilo Structura, and carefully placed filler make a far more significant difference than anti-wrinkle injections alone.

✨ Building collagen from within. Profhilo, polynucleotides, and SkinPen microneedling are the treatments I reach for most consistently in this age group because they improve the skin at a level that actually addresses what’s driving the change.

✨ Thinking long term. The patients with the most consistently impressive skin are always the ones who’ve built a considered plan over time rather than reacting to individual concerns as they appear.

Every patient I see in this age group starts with a proper consultation where we look at the full picture and build a plan that makes sense for where their skin actually is right now.

IPL is one of those treatments that gets booked regularly and talked about a lot, but most people sitting in the chair have very little idea what's actually happening beneath the surface.

Understanding what's going on during treatment doesn't just make the whole process feel less daunting; it helps you understand why it works and what to realistically expect from your results.

The light delivered during IPL targets very specific things in the skin, either the melanin responsible for pigmentation and brown spots, or the haemoglobin in the blood vessels causing redness and thread veins, leaving the surrounding tissue largely unaffected.

Once that energy has done its job, your body takes over, naturally clearing away the targeted pigment or vessel over the following days and weeks.

One session will give you an improvement, but a full course is where the real change happens, with each session building on the last to progressively clear pigmentation, calm redness, and improve overall skin clarity.

We'd always support that with the right skincare in between sessions, because what you do at home has a real impact on both your results and how long they last.

This walks you through exactly what happens at every stage of treatment, from the assessment beforehand right through to how we build on your results in clinic 👉🏼
